Interviewee: I am fine sir!

Interviewer: Tell me about yourself?
Interviewee: My name is John Mayer and I live in Australia and have worked as a junior
computer tech for 2 years and have gained an experience of 5 years as an engineering
manager in ADCO Construction Company in Australia. I have completed my bachelor degree
in the field of civil engineering and good personal skills, communication skills and decision
making skills are some of my strength. I have knowledge of engineering policies and
procedures which result in the development of the organization. I have contributed developed
strategies for the development of the organization in the long run.
Interviewer: What are your day to day duties?
Interviewee: My daily task was to assign work and to give guidance to his employees in
order to get work done. I also encourage and motivate the employees by providing bonus and
incentives. I also schedule short training program for new and existing employees on a daily
basis. I analyse the new technologies and tools, market requirements in order to determine the
practicability of the projects assigned and reviewing the design of the products and plans
made and also suggest changes accordingly.
Interviewer: What are your goals and your team members?

Interviewee: our main goal is to complete the work by the end of the month and to finish the
work within the scheduled budget without harming the level of quality of the project. We also
aim to finish the project by making sure that the plan is meeting the needs of consumers and
within the stated guidelines. We also aim to establish a good relationship with colleagues and
staff. I always give respect to other employees in order to make them comfortable.
Interviewer: What is your strategy in order to complete the task?
Interviewee: My main strategy in order to achieve the goal is to provide proper guidance to
the employees throughout the work so, that they can complete the task within the specified
time. My strategy is to clearly describe the project and planning and further effects and
outcome of such plan. By providing right task to the right employee, I easily reduce the
burden of the project. I always ask the employees to maintain a clear work history of the task
in order to identify the problems and issues that arise.
Interviewer: What are the challenges you faced while completing the task?
Interviewee: As a manager, I have to deal with different kinds of problems every day. I have
faced issues in completing the work on specified time and has faces many issues while
completing the task in the given budget. I have also faces issues in assigning the task
according to the skills of the workers have.
Interviewer: What the different methods and processes of motivating the workers?
Interviewee: In order to motivate the employee I would make sure that they all are feeling
comfortable and happy and also would make sure that all his employees would be treated
fairly. I would make sure that all the employees are working with their interest on task and
are happy with the work environment.
Interviewer: What is your management style?
Interviewee: I believed in establishing a good team by clearly describing each member about
their roles and responsibilities and also believe in feedback and also believe in directing the

employees towards the task. I use directive style of management in order to guide the
employees towards the assigned task. I always provide positive and negative feedback on the
work done by the staff in order to make them understand their strengths and weakness.
Interviewer: What skills are mandatory to become a successful manager?
Interviewee: A good leadership skills and ability to resolve conflicts are the main skills that
are mandatory to become a good manager and to make the company successful. Managing
the projects and making effective plans for the task, scheduling the task are some of the
important skills that are required to become a successful manager. A manager always plays
an important role in resolving the conflicts and executing the planning by guiding the
employees throughout the task. A manager also has to stay organized always by scheduling
work which helps a manager to become successful.
