a nutritionist and dieticians in USA for a fruitful career. The role of dieticians and nutritionists is
to provide their expert advice on food and the concomitant nutritional value of a particular food.
Dieticians and nutritionist play a crucial role in assisting their clients in losing weight through
monitoring their weight. The role of dieticians has been particularly useful in planning diet charts
for diabetes patients. Dieticians and nutritionist are expected to work in a variety of settings that
may include nursing homes, clinics, hospitals, cafeterias and schools. Some of the
responsibilities of the dieticians include counselling the patients on the issues of nutrition,
evaluation of the effects of health plan, keeping updated about the latest research related to diet
and nutrition, and developing meal plans keeping in mind the cost and preferences of the clients.

opportunity work in multiple settings and learn from the settings, they have the ability to be self
employed that means that they can practise on their own. The possible disadvantages of being a
dietician and nutritionist are difficulty in attending the patients, sometimes working in

unappealing environments and the possibility to be on-call if working is patients who are in
critical condition. I would suggest that the interest college students who wants to pursue this
career should study science and especially improve their knowledge of chemistry and biology.
