INTRODUCTION
The main aim of this report is to provide a career viewpoint and career path that will lead
students to move towards their career goal. Hospitality industry is one of the most successful and
service devoted sector. It is also an emerging industry specially after the Covid outburst. This
industry enables the employees to explore their career and gain expertise. This sector has
bunched of career opportunity.
This report will focus over the hospitality sector and its associated career. Since this is a
service oriented industry so it avails the employees to develop service oriented approach. Those
who are engaged with this industry can flourish their career. This sector also taught many new
lessons along with helping in developing many more qualities among individual. This report will
contain an analysis of hospitality industry and its related jobs. Along with that this report also
contains about my primary and secondary research that will guides and help me to choose best
and suitable career opportunities for myself. As I have interest in doing the job in cafe so this
whole report will revolve around my interest and at last a job advertisement is being attached
which is like my dream job that I want to start with.

General trends related with hospitality industries
Hospitality sector is one of the most changing and emerging sector in comparison of any
other sector. It changes along with the change in taste and preferences of the customers. But with
the outcome of Covid pandemic a lot of changes are taking place in this sector. Right from
operating its business till serving its customers, almost everything has been changed (Gursoy,
and Chi, 2020). These changes have not only affected its operating business but its associated
employment and jobs are also being changed and impacted. Due to Covid pandemic many small
cafes and hotels belongs to this industry has shut down. This has not only interrupted its business
but those who dreams to being associate with this field has also being affected. But along with
time and changes this sector has also evolved and come out as an emerging industry with lots of
jobs and career opportunities. Many technological changes have also being adopted and
implemented. Along with technological advancement, hotel industry has started dealing business
through online mode. Many restaurants and cafes has started serving their customers through
online and digital mode. This has open up new career opportunities for those who are well aware

about technological advancement and have special command over digital platform (Ristova and
Dimitrov, 2019). But in today's world if someone dreams to be a part of this industry then it is
very essential that individual has strong command over digital platform or have good
communication and patience skills. Along with changing trends and mode it is also made
necessary for applicant of this field that they posses some special knowledge in terms of good
internet knowledge along with knowledge of current mode of technology. Along with that an
individual should be a good communicator, problem resolver, active listener and responder.
With the changing trends in terms of globalization everything has been changing in the
entire world. Work from physical form has been fully converted into digital form. It would not
be wrong to said that the whole world and every sector has been digitalized and modernized
(French, 2018). Likewise, hospitality industry has also got evolved and adopted the globalization
term. It has also infused technology in its workplace in terms of making its work through the use
of technology. Many cafes and restaurants has started selling their food and availing their
services through online mode where customers can make online order and food is being
delivered to their door step. Like other sector competition has also been rising in this field. So
this has also a great impact over hotels and cafes. On the one had it raises good career
opportunities for talented people but at the same side the business of restaurants and cafes also
being affected in terms of their declining sales and profits. The business structure of this industry
has also changed. This means that earlier everything will be performed through direct contact
and means but with changing structures everything is being started performing through digitalize
mode.
In addition, of this, there are many activities in which I participated and analysed that
why should I have to choose this field for pursuing my career. Out of those activities some are:

Aiming to work in hospitality sector or hotel industry required various skills and
expertise along with good knowledge about various terms. For working in hospitality sector a
great degree of patience is required. It would not be wrong to said that a person who want to
make career in this sector should have high patience level. It is also very essential that in
individual should be calm while dealing with guest and customers (Svider and Frasyniuk, 2020).
For example: it is usually seen that many a time such customers came to cafes and restaurants
who have anger issue so the service provider should have to calmly handle such customers.
Hence, this field requires a great degree of patience level.
Likewise, good communication knowledge also plays an important role in this sector. A
person with good communicating skill will not only able to understand the demand of customer
but through this skill that service provider will successfully represent the respective hotel along
with meeting client's demand (Mmutle, 2017).
In addition, of these skills those persons who dreams to do job in hotel industry will also
require to posses some knowledge about this industry. This knowledge can be gained through
either experiencing practically or through pursuing various courses held by many universities.
Since education and courses will helps the student to develop their knowledge about many new
terms and common concepts of this industry so presence of such knowledge is also considered as
important for perusing career in regard to hospitality sector. If individual should be
knowledgable then they can handle different situation and trends very easily.
In step-up, of this an individual should be quick and expert while dealing with customers.
This means that expertise also plays a major role in this sector. This expertise can either be
required while performing the working operation, interacting with customers, rendering services,
resolving disputes and problems if any and many more (Ammar, 2018). An expertness in this

industry will not only beneficial for justifying job role of an individual towards this sector but it
will also help those candidates who wants to choose this sector as their career.

EVALATION
As I recently pass out my graduation and completed my studies so this is the best job for
me. As I have yet no work experience and since this job allows to be given to those individuals
also who have no experience, so this is the best job that will suited for me.
In addition, of this as I'm having a great interest in doing job regarding hospitality sector
specially cafes so that is also a reason for my interest towards this job. As I have interest in doing
something for other, helping them, treat them pleasantly since from my childhood. So this has
also made my mind to apply for this job. Since I always dream to do the job in cafes and when I
saw this advertisement, I felt that this is the best job for me and my dream come into reality.
As I was looking many jobs before but this job has attracted me because of many reasons.
The very first reason is my interest and attraction towards hotel industry. Since, I have
knowledge and skills regarding this sector so this job will also help me in flourishing my skills
and knowledge along with giving me a chance to use my expertise. This job will also help me in
making and further pursuing my career towards hospitality sector.
It would not be wrong to said that this job is new and emerging in the hospitality sector
because as due to globalization and covid pandemic most of the restaurants and cafes are dealing
and performing their business through online platform. As I'm having knowledge and expertise
in digital media and computer expertise, so I can easily handle such changes along with raising

the standard of work. This job will not only justify my work but it will also be acted as
justification to my own personal skills and expertise.
