After analysis my personal skills and my opportunities and threats I decide to choose HR
as my upcoming profession. My communication and negotiation skills helped me to choose my
career field. I also have attended many seminars and work shops regarding the same which is
beneficial for me because of which I am able to understand the job profile closely and it also
helped me to analyse my skills to choose a right career path.
With my education period I have also done some online training and development
programme and I also have some certificates in HR which enhanced my skills to do my
upcoming job in future. I have also done few part time internships because of which I have some
work experience too. I found the profile interesting as in this job profile I will be meeting with
new people on daily basis which will help me to improve my network, I will be solving the
issues of the candidates working which will improve my problem solving skills, apart from all
other benefits the major thing that will boost is my confidence. Confidence building is necessary
in every life and in job also.
I haven't choose the field only on the basis of my secondary research or through my
personal skills but I have also done some primary research through which I am able to know the
upcoming future trends like in upcoming 5 years the work of HR will be working with the help
of technology and using people analytical skills which will improve the work scope and
importance of HR in a business unit, HR work will more be inclined towards analysing the real-
time performance of an employee which will reduce the gap between the quality of workforce
planned and the current workforce.
Through my research, to be a good HR an individual require strong administrative skills,
knowledge about human resource process, some strategic and problem solving skills, technical
skills, managing priorities, advising and coaching the candidates. I have all the skills to be a
good HR that why I choose this field as my career path. I am a quick decision maker too, this
quality of mine helped me in my academics and in during my internships I was appraised many
times by my seniors because of this quality and now I am hoping that it will also help me during
my job.
I like challenges and the work of HR is rewarding and challenging at the same time
because a HR is responsible to select the right candidate for the post if he is failed to do so then it
can effect the working of the organisation so its a work of great responsibility also.
