BMAF008: Planning Your Career in Business Portfolio Project

This project is a comprehensive career planning portfolio developed by a student, as part of the BMAF008 module 'Planning Your Career in Business.' The portfolio is divided into three sections: Section A includes an introduction to personal portfolios and a company overview of Google. Section B presents a personal statement and a curriculum vitae (CV), highlighting the student's skills and experiences, and aimed at securing a job at Google. Section C includes a personal SWOT analysis and an action plan for skills development, showing the student's understanding of their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats. The assignment emphasizes the importance of career planning, self-assessment, and strategic skill development to achieve professional goals. The student demonstrates the ability to identify their skills, relate them to career goals, and utilize resources for personal and professional development, as well as methods of personal and professional development and training as well as how they relate to their employability.

INTRODUCTION
Career planning is helps to identifying the strength and weaknesses of the individual for
personal development. It is the process to knowing their skills, value, interest, talent and translate
into possible careers which is similar or beneficial for my careers goals. Skills play a important
role to motivate the individual to develop the creative and innovative skills which is beneficial
for my personal and career growth (Urazmetov, Kubyshkina and Ulengov, 2019). To develop
their skills people need to assure that it focus to update their knowledge which support me to
give future benefits and they want to doing some important course which support me to resume.
In this report it the portfolio which helps the individual to get the batter job and it is divide into
three sections. First sections describe that what portfolio contains and in second they make CV
of the person and give personal SWOT and make actions plans.

Section-A
Personal Portfolio
Personal portfolio is a evidentiary documents which helps to provide the quantitative and
qualitative informations (Issayev, Masalimova and Magzumova, 2018). It is different from a
resume, but it provide the evidence which is related to accomplishments. skills and experience, it
can be display in print in electronic formate, when I make my personal portfolio I keep in mind
that my portfolio can span of a period of five or more years in my life. The main process for
developing the personal portfolio are included the relevant informations, assembling and final
check before I give my reviewer (Tihomirova and Atanasova, 2020). The main objective is
provide the relevant information which helps me to highlight my skills and knowledgable.
Personal portfolio helps me to insight my personality and working ethics which helps me to
choosing the right job and this portfolio support me to showcase my experiences and
demonstrate my skills which is beneficial for any job role which I want. It contains my personal
details, qualifications, job experiences, hobbies, skills, certification, career summary, objectives
and many more and all this things support me highlighted myself in front of employer. It is used
during the time of job search which helps me to showcase my skills and knowledge. I take my
CV as a documents when I go for the interview in any organisation and it allow the people to
summarize my working experience so that employer are able to get all relevant information

which they need, and employer are not having that much time to read all this things personally,
so CV documents helps to summarize all this things which they require for their job role. Good
CV support me to create the good impression in front of my employer and I need to assure that I
included this thing which are given below:
 Profile- This profile helps me to given the statements to showcase myself and highlight
my attributed and relevant achievements or skills which is important for expressing my
job motive, along with it makes my CV according to my job sector which I choses and
mentions all important things which I require for this job role.
 Contact Details- It includes my personal detail such as contact numbers, home address,
email address, date of birth and so on (Scolere, 2019).
 Educations – I mentions my all previous, professional, present quintuplications degree
and mentions that what marks I score, which year I start my course where I complete, all
this necessary thing which I mentions on my CV.
 Work experience- It contains the list of my work experiences which I gain and what
thing I learn from my past jobs, it includes the company name, how long the company
were, job title and many more.
 Skills and achievements- I also mentions my achievements which I get in school,
collage and past jobs, although I mention what course I do and highlight my skills list
which is related to my job role.
 Interest- I also mention my interest and hobbies which I like to doing in my free time
and support me to give my complete pictures of myself.
CV is very important documents, which support me to highlight skills and knowledge to an
manger and mentions all this relevant information which is require to get this job (Dingus, Black
and Dahlquist, 2022).
Company Overview
Google is the most famous American multinational technology company which was
found in 1998 by Larry page and Sergey brin. Google company is the biggest alphabet's
subsidiary and holding organisation which focusses on search engine technology, computer
software, quantum, artificial intelligence, cloud commuting, online advertising and many more
things (Calicchio, 2020). Sundar Pichai was the CEO of the google company in 24, 2015 and he
belong from India. Google is the most powerful company in the world and most valuable and

prestige brand and they considered is a one of the biggest five American information technology
companies like Amazon, Apple, Meta and Microsoft (Swart, 2018). Google and YouTube are
the two most visited website which is followed by Facebook and Twitter. It is the biggest search
engine, e-mail provider, mapping and navigation, video sharing Platforming, cloud storage and
so on. Google most of the revenue generate through advertising which include sales of apps,
digital content, purchases made-in-app, google cloud offering. Forty-six percent was earn was
from clicks and the amounting was US$ 109,652 million in 2017 (Smolyaninova and
Bezyzvestnykh, 2019). In November 2017, alphabet's Inc. led is a series a round $71 million
along with Andreessen Horowitz and 20th Century Fox in music startup United Matstes which is
founded by Steve Stoute (Madsen and Stenheim, 2022). Google genially cares about there
employees they provide great benefits and intended helps for a professional and personal life
thrives such as free interested courses and educational; reimburses, to family leave, baby
bonding and many other benefits.

Personal Statements
Many people wants to get the job in Google Company and for my it is dram job for me it
is a first priority for me, because it is the most well reputed and multinational American
technology company, which helps me o gives many career opportunities. If I want to get this job,
so I need to clear four level it take interview in four rounds (Greviana, Mustika and Soemantri,
2020). I need to highlighted my CV which helps me to showcase my skills and working
experiences which I gain in last past year. My main career objective is to get the job is more well
repudiated company in last few years and last two year I take time to develop my skills and
knowledge, so that I am liable to get this job. Computation is increasing day by day and
interview is tough, so I need to highlight my skills and I am ready to take new challenge and
ready to continuing my carrier growth in full time based. I have all those skills which support me
to get this job and I have good communication, organizational skills which is beneficial for my
job role. Although I having good typing and strong analytical skills which proven that I have a
ability to interpret data and many more skills which I mention in my resume (Hertig, Powell and
Richardson, 2020) . I take maternity leave to develop my skills and utilize my time to develop
my knowledge and learning new skills (ButSafonov, Usov and Arkhipov, 2021).
