INTRODUCTION
Success is an essential part of a person's life and he/she strives to achieve the
same. And in order to be successful, the individual should have a proper understanding
of how can he achieve the goals or objectives targetted by him/her in the specific
duration of time (Amabile and Pratt, 2016). Also, appropriate and adequate utilisation of
the resources should be done to generate the best possible outcome.

a) Description of my ideal job
My ideal role for a job is that of a manager in a Glass company. A manager in the
Glass industry should have the relevant experience of leading and managing his
subordinates. He should provide support to his team members whenever there is a
need for the same and should be able to manage and coordinate various activities that
take place within a glass company. He must also possess in depth knowledge of the
various products like blocks of glass etc. and raw materials that are produced by the
company and are available in the market. The manager should also be aware of all the
safety measures that relate to glass. There are several equipments in a glass company
that have their way of usage which makes it important for the manager to have
knowledge of the same. While being appointed for this job, I will have various roles and
responsibilities like making sure the workers follow safety measures while working and
adhere to the standards set by the government. I will also ave to make sure that the
resources are utilised effectively and there is no wastage.
b) Job description for the role
A job description can be defined as a written narration of the general tasks,
duties, roles and responsibilities of an open job position (Davidson, 2017). A job
description is used by employers of various organisations with the main purpose of

outlining the roles and responsibilities that are required for a particular job. The job
description of my ideal job role is given below -
Coordinate as well as manage various tasks as well as activities that are
associated with glass including maintaining relation and coordinating with the
suppliers, clients as well as the contractors.
Manage and monitor a lot of projects at the same time and track the performance
of subordinates to ensure a smooth flow of activities within the organisation
premises.
Address and resolve various issues related to projects in order to minimise the
risk associated with them (Lucas, 2016).
Maintain the schedules of the various processes and tasks as well as adhere to
the budget of the organisation.
c) Summary of person specifications and how to qualify for the specific job
Person specifications can be defined as a written document that describes
experience, skills, knowledge as well as selection criteria of a particular job position. It is
generally derived from the job description and the core of the foundation. Person
specification for my ideal job role is described below -
Qualifications
A graduate degree from a reputed college or university.
Degree of management in the course Business Management.
Knowledge and experience
The candidate must have an experience of working in the Glass Industry for at
least 8-9 years.
He should possess problem solving skills and must be passionate about
achieving the goals and objectives of the company.
Excellent organisation, planning and execution skills are a must.
Should be comfortable with solving conflicts and addressing various issues that
may rise on a daily basis.

Resources available and how to use them in order to facilitate the job finding process
There are several resources that can be used to facilitate my process of finding a
job, some of which are explained below -
Company career pages – A person can make use of the career pages that
companies have on their official websites to get a detailed insight of the latest job
postings in the company (Stacey, 2016). When a person registers himself on a
company's career page, he/she receives regular updates of open positions in the
same.
Networking events – Networking events can be a great opportunity to connect
with various potential employers and new people who can help in connecting with
various job opportunities (Sternberg, 2016). This will enable me in finding a job in
my area of interest.
CONCLUSION
From the above report, it can be concluded that every individual wants to attain a
job in his/her area of interest in order to be successful in their career. Also, there are a
lot of job opportunities available across the world and each job has its specific job
description which enables a person to develop his skill set and experience accordingly.
