INTRODUCTION
Marketing is considered to be one of the most important functions within an organization
that significantly helps it in achieving its goals as well as objectives (Dipeolu and et.al., 2020). I
have always been interested in building a career in the field of marketing after we were taught
the course in the university. I think that working in this field would be a great learning
experience for me and would also help me in developing new skills as well as enhancing my
existing knowledge. There are different trends in the graduate recruitment that can affect the
whole recruitment process for graduates. Through this report, I aim to develop an understanding
about the general trends that will impact on my chosen industry to work in as well as the skills
and knowledge and experience required by the applicant for getting a job in the same.

2020). The different organizations operating within the marketing industry are adapting
themselves to the latest trends that can impact the jobs that candidates consider applying for as
well as the skills and knowledge that are needed. Advancements in technology have led to an
increase in the number of jobs in the marketing industry. But in order to get the job, there are
different skills as well as knowledge that are required by the individuals. For instance, it is
important for the candidates to have a significant knowledge about the latest technology and how
to operate the same. This is because technology has impacted the jobs within the marketing
industry. This is one of the major trends because technology has transformed the way in which
the companies conduct their marketing campaigns (Zacks, 2020). Therefore, having enough
knowledge about the latest technology will help the candidates in getting a better understanding
of the preferences of the customers in an effective manner as well as addressing the same. Apart
from this, globalization is another important trend that has impacted the jobs within the
marketing industry as well as the skills and knowledge that would be required by the candidates.
