Introduction
The job opportunity which is identified is for Interim marketing and also for e commerce
consulting manager at Hilton hotel. The skills which are required for this vacancy is
communication skills as it is the tourism related vacancy so effective communication skills is
must. Customer service skill, candidate should know that how to handle customers and how their
needs are fulfilled to make them happy. Multitasking skill and digital skills, in this era where
there are tough competition one should be multitasking as tourism industry have many tasks
which have to be complete simultaneously. Problem solving skill, it is required so that issue can
be solved immediately.
Graduate candidate should have culture awareness as the candidate who are applying for the
vacancy should have knowledge about ethics and values of the community. As knowledge of
culture helps employee in giving better customer services. Recent trends knowledge, as it can be
said that there are various trends which can affect the sales and revenue of the hotel and also
market knowledge can be helpful in taking opportunity at earliest (What are the top 10 skills that
all get you a job when you graduate?., 2021). So as a result have information of changes helpful
in delivering good performance and also help in giving better services to customers which
enhances their satisfaction.

Personal analysis
I found that i build communication skills into myself and communication skills is very
important for the future. As if you have good communication skills then it is helpful in boosting
the confidence level (Khaleghkhah and et.al., 2018). As this is tourism sector so if i have to build
my career in this sector than effective communication is must. As this skill will help in the
exchange of information effectively. I believe that when you communicate effectively with
others than there are chances of less confusion. I have participated in the group discussion and
from that i got compliment for my communication so i came to know that i have skill to
communicate nicely. I also possess good customer service skills, as customers are everything to
the business because customer can only generate profit for the business. I think that i have
potential to influence customer and i have knowledge that how to deal with customers in order to
make them happy.

I have the ability to find out customers needs and also technique which can satisfy them.
This skill i developed when i was doing internship at the company. As there i have to deal with
many customers because it was marketing work. So working there i realised that i have
capability to deal with customers. Multitasking skill is also the another important skill
(Spanjaard, Hall and Stegemann, 2018)l. An individual should be multitasker in today’s
competitive world as if you are multitasker then only company will hire you. As in the company
there are various tasks which have to be performed simultaneously. I realised that every task
have time limit and if the task is completed on time then only customer will be satisfied. I think
that i have multitasking skill as when i had participate in group discussion and there i arranged
place and also arrangement has been done for various equipments along with that i prepared
myself for that GD. By doing that i realised that i have to capacity to do various task at one time.
I have knowledge of culture awareness and know everything about local culture and beliefs and
values of the society.
I feel that i do not have digital skill and this is the biggest weakness. When it comes to working
in tourism sector than this skill is must. As nowadays customer is doing everything only whether
it is booking room or anything. So for query in customer will contact hotel staff and being the
staff of hotel i must know that how there queries will be solved. Computer helps in doing
multiple task and saves a lot of time. As the world is evolving and upgrading and the demand for
digital is rising day with day. So i should learn and build this skill into myself. Lack of digital
skill also serve as drawback in the interview as when asked questions related to this i am not able
to give the reply effectively (Abbott-Lyon and et.al., 2021).
Another skill on which i am lacking is the problem solving skill. In any of the sector this skill
plays vital role as in every sector problem will definitely arise, so employees should have the
ability to solve problem. As customer will face multiple problems so by listening to the issue
employee should not develop fear but should have such confidence that they can solve the
problem. So the same thing i have to develop into myself. I believe that this skill will help me to
grow in my career. I does not possess knowledge related to recent market trends.

It is the plan which is also called as the planning document and this document is managed
by youngsters who want to faster their career development learning (Masdonati, Fournier and

Career plan is important so that it helps in growing personal and professional life both.
As this plan will help an individual to find out his or her dream job. as when a person have plan
of career than he or she knows that what planning has to becomes in order to get success in the
future. Career plan does not think of today but it is also future oriented as it is helpful in
retirement planning (Hartung and Santilli, 2018). It also includes financial planning in the career
objectives. Career action plan should be made by every individual and should be updates timely
and add development activities.

also build confidence which is must in today’s world. I had decided that i will make career action
plan every year and also customize it as per my needs. Realising that skills and knowledge is
absent and doing effort to build that will definitely contribute in the growth of the career.
Conclusion
Through this report it can concluded that the job opportunity is for marketing profile and the
report has contained skills, knowledge and expertise which is required in this profile. I found that
i possess some of the skill which includes communication skill, multitasking skill and customer

service. I have all these skills and this will definitely help me into my career. I also realised that i
did not have problem solving and digital skills. To develop that skill i am planning and also
decided that with the given timeframe i will develop these skills into myself.
In this competitive world skills and knowledge are required because it will also increase
value of your resume if applied for any vacancy. I realised that i does not have knowledge of
recent trends of the market so i decided to develop and gain knowledge of the market time to
time. Career action plan is vital for the future. It can be set that it provide direction for the future.
I will use career action plan to improve my professional life and learn skills and gain knowledge
which helps me to become successful in the future.
