In the present time, there is extensive competition in job market hence, it is important to
have necessary skills and capabilities to grow in the career significantly. To grow in future, there
is requirement to have necessary skills, capabilities, knowledge and more. These skills and
knowledge allows an individual to grow in the career significantly. Selecting a right career part
allows students to make an enriching career in the future period of time. Marketing is a growing
filed that has ample of opportunities. A person can easily make an enriching career in the field of
marketing (Ray, 2021). In present context, I am looking forward to make a growing career in
marketing. The main rational is growth opportunities within the field. Being a student, I wish to
get tremendous amount of success within the chosen field. The report will include necessary
skills, competencies, knowledge and more to grow in the respective filed in profound manner.
Analysis and Application
General trends
Currently, ample of new trends have been introduced in the field of marketing. Here, the
new trends are introduced in order to facilitate creativity as well as innovation within the field.
Implementing trends is also helpful in terms of getting tremendous amount of success in the
future career. Further, following trends make the company enable to offer quality, unique and
advance products to the customers. In this regard, the recent trends related to marketing field are
mentioned below:
Globalization: Globalization is about exchanging the products from one company to the
other. Basically, it is related with cross border transactions with an aim to facilitate better &
effective relations between different countries. The main aim of globalization is to minimize the
restrictions on exchange of goods and services between two or more countries. Now, it is quite
easy to exchange the products from one country to the other. Further, it also contributes in
technological development and advancements significantly (Bajaj and et. al., 2021). It is
analyzed that the globalization has been increased scope of growth in marketing field. As a
result, companies can easily promote their products globally. Now, it is possible to exchange the
products between different nations so that pre-defined goals can be attained significantly.

Technology: In the present era, technology is a crucial part of each and every business
whether large or small. The main aim of technology is to make the entire process simpler and
smooth. Further, it also helps in developing advance products and services. By using latest
technology, a company can easily produce the updated, advanced and efficient products to gain
the attention of buyers. In this regard, several tools and techniques are used in the field of
marketing. These tools are helpful in performing marketing functions in an efficient manner
(Wolfson and et. al., 2017). Using technology also allows the marketers to promote the products
widely with an aim to earn substantial amount of profit margin. In present time, the products and
services are promoted using digital technologies like websites, social media and more. These all
tools and techniques play a crucial role in terms of attracting customers in significant manner.
Customer relationship management: It is also consider as one of the recent tools in the
field of marketing. CRM is one of the best tools to maintain long-term and effective relations
with customers. It also helps in maintaining positive positioning of the company in market place.
Apart from this, CRM is also useful in formulating positive relations with the buyers so that they
get ready to buy the products offered by the company. By effective implementation of CRM tool,
it is possible to maintain long-term and positive association with the customers that will further
allow the company to gain competitive advantage in market place (Kanders and et. al., 2020). As
the buyers are considered one of the significant parts of the company hence CRM helps in
maintaining and improving the loyalty of buyers significantly.
From the above-information, it is monitored that there are several trends related to
marketing field. These trends are related with current business environment. The major trends
have been identified as globalization, technology advancements and more. These trends are
useful in improving the overall performance of business in significant manner.
Skills and Knowledge:
Communication Skills: Communication skill is the key of success of any business. It is
useful in disseminating the information across the organization. This skill is helpful in
maintaining proper flow of information within the company. By having appropriate
communication skill, one can easily communicate with other people (Rahman and Syahrizal,
2019). In the respective profession communication skill is highly important in terms of
exchanging necessary information with the customers to attain the stipulated goals significantly.

highly important to gain the attention of customers to ensure higher sales and profit in future.

prompt and effective decisions, it is important to have necessary decision-making skills. These

important to grow within the selected field in profound manner.
Knowledge and expertise:
IT skills: With increasing use of technology in business field, IT skills have become
essential requirements of business personnel’s. To make an enriching career, it is imperative to
have necessary IT skills. These skills make a person capable enough to use the recent and
updated softwares profoundly (Štemberger, 2020). Through these softwares and tools, one can
easily perform their duties significantly.

and every company. To offer them remarkable services, it is firstly important to understand their
behavior. For this purpose, the person needs to maintain close relation with the buyers. In

wishes of the buyers. By having such skills and competencies, one can easily make an enriching
career in marketing field.
Evaluation:
After analyzing the present market environment, I have been decided to make a strong
career in the field of “digital marketing”. This position is in demand in current time and has
several opportunities that will allow me to grow in future. Nowadays, digital marketing has
become crucial part of the business. Majority of the organizations are likely to use digital tools
such as SEO, social media marketing, content marketing, email marketing and more to promote
their products and services. Here, main aim of using such technology is to increase the presence
of business with an aim to earn huge amount of profit. Cureently, different social media
platforms such as Face book, Instagram, YouTube and more are used so that the products and
services can be promoted significantly. Therefore, I can easily grow within the marketing
domain by having knowledge of digital marketing. This will enhance the career growth options
for me in an efficient manner.
