INTRODUCTION
In recent times sports industry is rapidly growing. There are various types of sports events
that is being organised. Also, it has led to rise in sports event tourism as well. The events
occurring in sports industry are local ones. So, this industry is growing and in future it is
expected that a lot of job opportunity and high revenue will be generated from it. There are many
people working in sports industry at varied roles. So, there will be change in things as well and
new trends can emerge in employment. This blog will describe about working in sports industry
and what type of roles are available in it. besides that, what skills and qualification are required
is also discussed in it (Armitage-Chan. and May, 2018).
MAIN BODY
Sports industry consists of different types of sports events to be organised in it. There are
many students who want to build their career in this event. But due to lack of opportunity or
roles they are not able to do so. Other than this, sometimes it requires high experience and skills
as well in order to make career in this sector. Also, due to covid 19 many sports events are
cancelled and it has led to laying off of jobs in it. According to Hinkle, and Drew, 2020, covid
19 has highly impacted on entire world economy. Due to that each sector is impacted adversely.
Moreover, many sports events are delayed or postponed due to this pandemic. So, in future there
will be numerous events which will be organised. Thus, there will be high requirement of job
opportunity in these events. Alongside there will be many new roles as well which will emerge
in this sector. Besides that,, there lies vast number of other employment opportunity as well in
coming years. So, an individual can easily make a successful career in sport industry. Also, those
who are having interest in sports can enter in this field. For examples- sports event such as IPL,
big bash, Uefa nations league, and many types of event are been organised. It has resulted in
emerging of new roles for youngsters and graduates. As UK is large country and there are
different types of sports being played by people. Moreover, many organisation also conduct
event with support from government.
As said by Jackson, 2017, there are many companies and start ups which are emerging in
this field. They are based in new ideas and concepts and also approved by government. Here,
many start ups are based on betting concept where it allows people to bet. So, for that it requires
to develop App, need analysts, do marketing, and various other things. Therefore, it has

provided opportunity for graduate to engage in this sector. Furthermore, with integration of
event and sports sector there is change in way off organising sports events. This has led to
making things complex as it require to follow guidelines and norms issued by government of
covid 19. In present times, each nation is organising its separate event in games like football,
cricket, badminton, hockey, hence, it has resulted in generating large employment as well as
revenue for industry and government. For undergraduate as well these platforms are open where
they can build career in it.
From doing study Magen-Nagar and Steinberger, 2020, it has been identified that there
are many types of roles that is suitable for management graduates in sports industry. For
examples- betting market analyst, betting expert, logistics executive, operational executive, etc.
so, these all roles are emerging in sports industry that enables graduate to make successful career
in it. In addition, in all roles there is need of advance and relevant skills which must be
possessed by them. Here, main skills required in it are communication, decision making,
problem solving , etc. These all are needed to perform such type of roles. Along with that, there
are certain qualifications as well which must be needed by those. they must be a college
graduate but only in field of management, business, this means that there is no requirement of
science field graduate in it. However, it is essential that student must have experience in
working in management field and know some basic knowledge as well. The advance analysing
skill is needed to perform role of analysts and expert in sports industry. The skills are required
for right job role so that student can easily perform it. If skills are already possessed then they
do not require to learn it from training. As event are viewed online so it need to develop an App
where people can easily watch it. there is also need to do marketing of sports event and analyse
data as well (McDermott, and et.al., 2019).
Therefore, it is good opportunity for graduate make career in it. as they already possess
relevant skills as well. So, in future there will be numerous events which will be organised. Thus,
there will be high requirement of job opportunity in those events.
CONCLUSION
It can be summarised that in future there will be many sports events which will be
organised. This industry is rapidly growing at international level. The main contribution is of
local events that are being organised in sports. Thus, it will led to bring in new opportunity and
roles for management graduates to make career in it. Moreover, events such as IPL, big bash,
