INTRODUCTION
This report is based on my working experience that I experienced in the railway industry.
I chose my profession in railway industry where I am presently working as a Train Presentation
Night Shift Cleaner (Hecht, 1982). This report shows my journey in which it includes some
important things such as skills and qualifications. It also covers some general trends that
impacted on railway industry in which I am presently working.
MAIN BODY
Analysis and Application
It is the identifying that railway industry is one of the most important industry in
economy that gives a great contribution in the economy. For that reason, government take
necessary decisions such as budget allocation for railway. Railway needs a huge amount that
helps to modify trains according to the current trend. There are many trends that are running in
the present market that should be follow so that they can cope up with the changes. It is
identifying that Railway department gives a huge employment opportunity to the general people
with a good pay scale. They give payments on the basis of job to their employees. There are
many things that should be consider which are mentioned below.
General trends which will impact on Railway industry
After pandemic situation it becomes very difficult for railway industry that how they can
manage their incomes because people are restricted to travel. It declines sale of tickets of general
people due to COVID-19 (Khapova and et. al., 2007). It gives a major impact on railway
industry that also impact on jobs. It is identified that formerly railway industry gives great
employment opportunity for general public but after pandemic situation it identified that it
declines the number of employment opportunity. It increase the unemployment in the country
which becomes the major reason of low GDP. It directly impact on current job as railway
industry retain only talented employees which shows that existing employees need to raise their
ability and skills. So they can remain on their present position. This is the first trend and another
trend is technological up gradation.
It is very important for railway industry that they should take initiatives in respect of
increasing technology in the railways. Due to day to day change in technological factors it is
identified that it becomes more difficult to introduce new techniques. It is essential as it helps in

can best with other ones (Coolahan, 2002). Globalisation is one of the important trends that
should be deal very well so that railway department take competitive advantage. For that purpose
they need to add some values in their departments such as new product that means new upgraded
train which will be fully automated (Eisner, 1975). But they should be considered that it doesn't
impact on other activities adversely such as employment opportunity.
Apart from above secondary research, it is analysed that primary research is also
important to reveal the exact position or current trends of market. This report also cover view
points of other person that are collected in the survey.

on organisation. It just not limited to railway industry but also it gives a great impact on jobs. It
affect on existing employees as well as on candidates who wants to apply for a job. It is very
necessary for railway industry that they should necessary corrective actions in order to reduce the
negative impact of trends on individual person as well as on railway department.

this field as I was a house cleaners formerly (Baym, 2019). It is very important for me that I
found the job that is suited me and with my skills. It is very beneficial for me because it is the
night shift job in which I can perform my job role. I have not much work pressure as I used to
clean the train compartment so that customers can easily sit on them. But yes I found some
difficulties after pandemic situation because as per the government guidelines I have to perform
the cleaning duty twice in night shift with sanitizers so that customers get no infection. It is very
important for me that I have to take care when I performing my duty that is used good quality of
sanitizers. I found interest in this job because it is the night shift that helps me to give a time for
my further studies. Due to weak financial conditions it is very important for me that I have to do
some work so that I can give some financial assistance to my family. This duty is very beneficial
should have skills and knowledge so that they can perform their duty very well. It is identified
that requirements of skills are depend on the duty of a candidate.
