APPLICATION FORM (maximum 200 words per answer)
1. Why do you want to work for us?
To speak in one line, I would say I am in the process of developing my career, and I
believe that Marcus Evans LTD will be a great choice. With this company expanding day by day,
it will expose me to different and difficult projects, that will ultimately lead me to grow. After all,
expanding business needs talented and efficient employees to work on, and with proper
guidance from the company leaders and hard work from my side, I believe I can correctly do my
job.
With Marcus Evans LTD expanding continuously, I believe:
My opportunities in career development will be high.
With my high social skills, I will be able to strengthen my team effort.
With an innovative workplace, I believe I can provide creative ideas.
With talented professionals working beside me, it will constantly motivate me to
do a better performance.
2. Tell us about a time you worked in a group to achieve an objective (what did you do
and what was the outcome?)
While I was working in a group, the path that our leader took was pretty simple and was
effective also, which includes- breaking the given task into smaller parts and then
assigning it to different person, managing the time properly the result of each task was
received and with feedback from our leader, we modified our product. And the result
was enormous.
This group task helped us in
Tackling a given problem, whether it is job related or personal
Completion of the task that the role desires.
I am overcoming the responsibilities.
I am developing speaking and listening skills to interact with others while
discussing the feedback of the products.
I am developing a new shared personality with other members of the group.
Developing a new method every time we came across a new problem.
They are developing skills like leadership, and the ability to work with different
people and side by side also motivating them.
It also helped me in learning my strengths and weaknesses, for example, I was a
good listener but not a good leader, this group work enhanced me developing
my skill of leadership. Though it was not necessary, I followed my leader's
footmark in many different problems, and it works like a charm.
When someone was sick, the whole job was stopped, because no one was there
to take her place.
Exchange of information. Working in a group lead us to communicate with each
other, so whenever we faced any problems, we can consult it with the group.
Our leader was committed to working in a team, so she always encouraged
everyone and helped everyone, which ultimately increased the performance of
the group.

3. Tell us about a time when you identified a new approach to solve a problem. (what did
you do and what was the outcome?)
During my work in Nokia, I had come with a problem that was challenging as well as
overwhelming. The only solution requires me to flexing my problem-solving muscles.
The solution includes the following steps in sequence-
The first step included in changing my perspective of thinking the problem
negatively. I took the problem as my opportunity or as a step in developing my
career. With this change in thought, my approach to reaching the problem changed,
and I became more optimistic and confident.
The second step required me to define the problem. It includes the reason to worry
about the outcome, and also what will happen if it does not work?
The third step included in thinking different approach for the problem. The problem
did not have only one solution, rather multiple solutions were involved, but I was too
scared to consider those circumstances. After overcoming my fear, the approach I
took for the problem was well suited for that particular problem.
The fourth step involved getting well aware of the output. What would the solution
accomplish? Well, this was the question I was thinking. With this question in mind, it
given me a large variety of ideas, some includes out of the box also, but the real
solution, I guess, was out of the box only.
The fifth step included me to think about the worst possible thing that could happen
and also the measures to take to overcome it.
The sixth step involved me in taking responsibility for my decision completely. The
decision involved measures that might not have been accepted by the company, but
I was there to accept that result too.
During my time of tackling a problem, I always switched off my phone, because
notifications aren't that important than my job in hand.Obviously I did check them
when I had free time in hand.
4. Tell us about a time when you had to manage several different priorities and complete
several tasks in a short amount of time (what did you do and what was the outcome?)
When I was newly accounted for my new post as an administrator, I was confused with
the thoughts that where to start from and whether I will be able to complete a task
within a given time frame. The to-do-list that I preferred before was not working and not
to mention that different task included the different rank of priorities. The productive
result was also not enough from the post that I was given. Indeed, the situation did or
left the post. To overcome the problem, I took certain steps which include:
Tracking and managing time was my priority. Giving a proper amount of time to
the requisite task and then managing the task properly lead me to overcome it

The second step was to take regular breaks while working a different task. Most
prioritized works required me to have higher performance, so it required my
higher concentration. Hence, I took my morning time for that job, and after a
proper break, I jump into the next task.
The third step I took was, while managing time for different prioritized work, I
also given a deadline to the tasks. It made me more focused, and the result was
also more productive than before.
The fourth task that I took was attending only standing meetings rather than
normal meetings. The difference in them is that while normal meetings can time
consuming, the standing meeting will be short and to the point. I took the info of
regular session through emails and later read it.
The fifth step involved me in quitting multitasking. Though it sounds more
effective, it does not.
The sixth step that I took was connecting with my employees. As an
administrator, I was introduced to a different employee. But when connecting
with them, using my pre-acquired communication skill, I was able to work more
effectively.
The seventh step that I took was giving up on perfection. Well, instead of
persuading perfection from employees, I started giving credits for their hard
work. It also keeps them motivated and they do better in their next task.
5. Tell us about a project you worked on that required you to persuade others to your
point of view (what did you do and what was the outcome?)
Recently we had this problem with the vendor, where my department was working with
a specific vendor for many years and not want to change because it was easy for the
company to change the contract every year. However, his work was not so efficient,
unlike others. So, I told our manager about the situation and explained the measure that
I would like to evaluate all the available vendors and enlist them, including our current
vendor. The result depends on our manager, but I provided her with the required
materials that she needed.
