This case study presents a 22-year-old indigenous woman with schizophrenia who was four weeks pregnant. The assessment details the patient's mental health history, including her worsening condition after a breakup, and her concerns about antipsychotic medication affecting her unborn child. The case includes patient details, family and social history (HEADSS + VIP), a genogram, and a mental state examination summary. Risk factors identified were schizophrenia, delusion, lack of support, and staying alone. The intervention plan focuses on medication, therapy, emotional and social support, and a healthy diet. The patient was managed within the community setting and medicated with aripiprazole. The assessment highlights cultural sensitivity and the need for community and family support to address the patient's concerns and improve her mental health during pregnancy.
