Every individual faces some situations where person have choice to perform and not to perform
and it is required to choose for best. This is referred to as the situation of ethical dilemma where
individual is stuck between situations (Wang and Calvano, 2015). Current dilemma is based on
taking decision in charitable organisation. Here, the manager is confused such as to organise the
campaign or not to encourage people to take steps against bowel cancer. Manager is with the
dilemma to choose the best among the options available and is also taking consideration of cost
to choose among both of them.
Solve the following dilemma
Charitable organisation has sole motive to promote social welfare and bring improvement in
standards of the society. With reference to case given, it needs manager to apply certain skills
and knowledge to take effective decision. However, I would like to suggest that organisation
need to organise campaign in every 2 months for people and encourage them to take steps
regarding cancer. It is necessary for managers to raise funds from investors and motivate donors
to offer a living to the suffered patients. Optimum utilisation of resource by manager leads to
deliver effective outcomes of campaign.
In addition, it is also necessary for spread awareness regarding campaign by receiving special
grants and donations. Also ethical standards are needed to be practices for gaining trust of the

society (Crane, and Matten, 2016). Moreover, transparency is needed to be maintained that will
develop trust and loyalty with the public that activities conducted are regarding bringing welfare
in the society. Failure to gain trust among public will lead organisation to face many loss in
terms of covering cost of campaign. In addition, effective solution for this case study includes
organising regular activities of campaign and developing sound image among the society.
