Case study
In March 2017 electronic devices such as cell phones and laptops are banned in the
flights from 10 airports in the middle east and Africa. This decision is taken because terrorist
brings bomb hidden in electronic devices. The US administration has decided to ban all the
inbound flights. The company takes decided to ban inbound flights because the people working
at airport find that they are not secure, terrorist can harm them anytime and the employee was
working in fear. Due to this most of the crew member leave the company and the organisation
had suffered lot in terms of turnover, profitability (Fields, 2016). As these attract which is made
by bomb which they bring in their laptops was taking place regularly, customer were not having
trust on that company, and the people who are not culprits have to suffer.
The organisation has gradually lost their image, customers and employee which leads to
reduce in their profitability. In January, Mr Trump who is CEO of the organisation, has made
efforts to ban the citizens of several Middle Eastern countries from entering America. The
airlines have started lending their own devices to business-class passengers, but demand is still
tumbling. After the first travel ban, demand fell by 35% on Emirates’ American routes. They
have banned on bringing cellphone and laptops, many travellers mostly consultants, accountants
and lawyers who used to be paid based on hour working, are now choosing to fly via European
hubs on other airlines. The profitability of the company fall by 82% as compare to last year
(Ramji, 2016)
This decision that banning the inbound flight, is suitable for short time only because
people who come from different places might have some business dealing with America, some
people have families in US who come to meet them regularly, by taking such decision like
banning the inbound flights will harm general people interest who are not culprits and terrorist
will find some other ways to bring bomb in America (Fields, 2016). Some measure can be taken
such as:
Should implement such technology like robot at airport gates which analyse every
individual before boarding to place. Every electronic devices are to be properly checked
which track bomb. When the people are checking in to planes. Robot should have such
inbuilt technology which human being not have to track the bombs so that it can able to
find where the bombs are fitted and hidden (Ramji, 2016).

Laser technology should be use in airplanes because most of unwanted things are
happening are taking place at plane such as hijacking so the company should use laser
technology which can track bombs to the plane during the fly
Two to three cops can be placed to monitor all the activities taking place in the flight and
if the find any unwanted activities are happening, intimidate action should be taken
While considering these measure, passenger will find that they are secure and the culprits
are to be caught which leads to increase in brand image and profitability of company (Ramji,
2016).
