Case study on Bob
This report is formed undertaking case study of Bob who is 52 years of age at present and
is unaware about where his mum and his father. He used to live with his twin brother and elder
sister. He was being sentenced to prison and being imprisonment for sexually harassing his
sister's 2 young sons. Bob was in jail for just over a year, before going to prison for eight years.
Jail was loud , and very boring . If you are able to get ear plugs or can read with all the noise
then a book is a great escape from your helplessness . One don't know your fate because in jail
you are waiting a trial or court date . You will get endless legal advise from other inmates but a
smart person would take notice that if the other inmates knew so much about the law they too
would not be in jail. It's an emotional place because you don't know what's gonna happen and the
fear is new to not only you but your loved ones too(Verkuyten, 2018). A lot of helpless feelings.
When in prison you can focus on the end date but jail is unknown fate. To start with Bobs
personal life when he was a kid, he used to live in lots of houses with lots of people around,
which he later committed that he doesn't liked any of them. Previously he used to live with his
mother, but his mum kicked him out of the house. She used to consume lots of alcohol and didn't
cared for their son. Due to bad bringing up of bob, it caused bad bringing up of Bob as a child
which late reflected in its life career. As per basic physiology if a child is better brought up, it
helps in core development of child for its entire life career. As reflected in Bob's case study, it
can be analysed that he doesn't liked friends and adopted being as a preservative nature for his
life. In the interview conducted on Bob, it can be seen that, he used to like little boys, but also
committed to word that he is not a guy and only liked little boys not men. As mentioned in the
interview by Bob himself, he don't remember about his younger sister, and concluded with the
statement that maybe his mother got rid of her before him. As the interviewer proceeded with the
questioning he asked Bob about his dad and Bob answered that, once he asked her mother about
it and she showed a pretty aggressive attitude and pointed on him and said that he left her with
them. He was assumed about this and didn't liked his mother and dad. By analysing story of Bob
it can be said that due to bad bringing up of his life, he lacks most of the basic adequate and is
unaware about life and society trends. He treats society as secondary and mainly concentrates on
his primary needs. He is ready to comprise all the society demands and never gave important to
what people say and lives life to the fullest. As per basic physiology if a child is better brought
up, it helps in core development of child for its entire life career. As reflected in Bob's case

study, it can be analysed that he doesn't liked friends and adopted being as a preservative nature
for his life. Here’s the problem, death and grief can make people act kind of crazy and it can
seriously rock a family’s centre of balance. With reference to development theory in psychology,
which provides a framework for learning, development and growth. This theory focuses its
attention towards development of social attributes of an individual that is brought up from the
birth. This respective theory highlights various guidelines and principles which describes as well
as explains human development (Crisp and Turner, 2020). Therefore, due to bad bringing up of
Bob by his mother, as his father left the the house when he was young. It impacted not only
Bob's career but also his sisters and his progressive life cycle. If the death happened within the
family, then there is fertile ground for family misunderstanding as family members try and deal
with changing roles and dynamics, different grieving styles, and complicated emotions. Prison
jobs, as everyone has mentioned but oh my, the side hustles. We have one guy
nicknamed Pockets, and that is because he makes pockets. He boasts, I think that buck comes in
postage stamps or Commissary. From the analysis of story of Bob it can be said that, theory of
development can prove to be useful for effective development of a person. In bob life, if he is
provided with appropriate behaviour theory, his life can be improved. Most scientific research on
human development has concentrated on the period from birth through early adolescence, owing
to both the rapidity and magnitude of the psychological changes observed during those phases
and to the fact that they culminate in the optimum mental functioning of early adulthood.
Humans, like other animal species, have a typical life course that consists of successive phases of
growth, each of which is characterized by a distinct set of physical, physiological, and
behavioural features (Berry, 2017). These phases are prenatal
life, infancy, childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. Human development, or developmental
psychology, is a field of study that attempts to describe and explain the changes in
human cognitive, emotional, and behavioural capabilities and functioning over the entire life
span, from the fetus to old age. It can be said that, Bob was having a good life with his sisters
and spend quality time with them enjoying and participating In various activities. However, with
others, he was unusual and didn't enjoyed there party. As by analysing case study of Bob, it can
be reflected, as he was suffering from abnormal behaviours, regarding sexuality. He liked small
boy child and prioritised them over in top of its interest list. Humanistic theory illustrates perfect
example of Bob behaviour. Respective theory was presented in 1950's, in its earlier stages theory

focused on abnormal behaviour and psychological issues that is faced by an individual in his
entire life span (Clark, 2018).
