INTRODUCTION
Motivational techniques are used for boosting and encouraging employees for achieving
organization's goals and objectives. With the help of several tools and technique a company
could enhance their employee's performance.
TESCO is the largest multinational supermarket chain across United Kingdom. As more
and more competition has been raised in the marketplace, company has introduced new Jack
store at which they are rendering similar pricing as compared to their competitors Aldi and Lidl.
The above report includes motivational techniques which can be used by Jacks store for their
employee to motivate and encourage them so that they could effectively compete with its rivals.
MAIN BODY
Motivation plays a key role in the organizational success. The motivated employees are
always productive resource for company. Engaged and happy employee are invariably tended to
have profit and productivity for an organization. It is very crucial for manager to find what can
motivate their team and employee further. Increasing motivation in workplace is helpful for
enhancing employee's performance, raising morale and boosting productivity. Motivated
employees of TESCO will be productive for company's overall growth and development. Thus,
they could effectively compete with their rivals in marketplace. For this various motivational
techniques are used by them to boost up their employees. Some motivational technique are
described below that can be used by manager of motivating their employee for achieving
organizational goal and objectives (Ringen and et.al., 2018).
Incentive and bonus-
Incentive and Bonus to employee is the best motivation technique that can be used by
company. Employee of Jack store must be given incentives and bonus if they extraordinary
perform the task. This is helpful in encouraging and boosting employees for working towards
attaining organizational goal effectively. If employees of Jack store work positively they will
render their best and thus company could effectively compete with its rivals. If employees are
working extra ordinary then they should be recognized by company and must be rewarded for
that. By these employees get motivated and feel valued by their company. With regard to the
incentive and bonus employees will try more to work extraordinary and attain company's overall
objective and goal in the best way they can. Overall it is helpful for company to gain success in
the marketplace.

Job promotion-
Job promotion is the most common motivational technique which can is used by
companies to boost up employees. Company must provide promotion to the employees who are
extraordinarily performing at the workplace. Employee of Jack Store must be provided
promotion so that they could enhance their promotion and work for the betterment of company.
Promotion to the employee is a kind of appreciation that could be given by employers to their
workers so that they could work for achieving organizational goal effectively. The best, skilled
and talented performer will be promoted on higher post and will be motivated. This is helpful for
Jack store to enhance performance of their employees and thus they could compete with their
rivals if their employees are working for company's betterment (Hardcastle and et.al., 2017).
Salary increment-
Salary increment is also a motivational technique which companies used for boosting
their employees morale to keep good work ahead. Jack store's employee should be provided with
increment in their salary as per their performance in six months. So employees will be
encouraged to give their best and perform job well. Each and every employee wants increment in
their salary which motivate them to give their best in favour of organization. Jack store's
employee will be stayed motivated if proper salary increment could be given to them. They will
be further work for company's overall growth and development. If employees are motivated then
absenteeism in company could be reduced and thus company could have productive work from
employees (Graf, Lachance and Mishra, 2016).
Friendly atmosphere-
Friendly atmosphere at company also motivate employees. At Jack store they also must
provide friendly atmosphere at store so that they could be motivated to work with company. If
employees feel pressure and distress then they couldn't perform well. Flexible working should be
provided to employee so that they could work without any pressure and manage professional and
personal life easily. If healthy working environment is rendered to employees then they could
work positively and retain with company for long term. With this relaxed working environment
employee could show high commitment to the company and perform well in context of its
objectives.

Recognition-
Recognition must be given to employees motivate them. If employees are recognized by
their employers in front of their co-workers. This appreciates that employee for its good work
and boost up for keeping that work ahead. Thus, Jack store employees could also be appreciated
by employers every month so that each and every individual employee tends to work and go
beyond their skills and show their talent. Overall if employees tends to work positively and
perform to gain organizational goal and objective. Company could enhance their employees
productivity through this motivational technique. If employees are motivated by the Jack store
then they will work loyal for company's growth and development and effectively work towards
achieving huge profit and success among its rivals (Bommelé and et.al.,2017).
CONCLUSION
From the above study it can be concluded that motivational techniques are helpful for
company to enhance their employee's performance. If company motivate and boost up their
employee they will positively work for achieving organizational goal effectively. Company
could achieve huge success if their employees are loyal towards company and work for the
betterment of company. Company's employee will be retained for long term if they are valued,
recognized and motivated by their employers. They must motivate employees if company wants
to gain huge success and profit. With the help of encouraged employee company could easily
gain huge competitive advantage against its rivals in marketplace.
