As the business consultant is a professional body who provides the expert advice in a particular
area for the overall development of the business operations. Being a business consultant, all the
decision taken will be responsible for the overall development and improvement in the
operations of the organisation. A consultant will keep the projects of the business organised as

experiences that allow the business in overcoming the daily operations. He or she makes the

the research on the targeted clients. They also make use of surveys, reading report for the
purpose of collecting the information of clients. Consultants are professional people who gives
short-run skilled assist and guide in a specific area or an organisation. They also have advance
levels of expertness, but they are often costly and they can work in a different manner to the part
of their team. The essential point is to work successfully with all employees is to be clear about
requirements and transportation. As having a business consultant has become the main part of
the business and they have the ability to transform the business in reference to the objectives of
the company.
From the consultant report it is clear that-
The organisational structure is very complex and rigid as compared to other companies
as it has the traditional structure which has more issues related to attitude. Along with it,
the style of management of Mr. Jacob was highly centralised and informal. Earlier,
people used to behave in the same way. But his cousin, the new managing director had
experiences as she had worked in the same company but Mr. Jacob had trust issues and
doubts regarding her as the staff of New Delhi complained about her that is why Mr.
Jacob choose to go for change readiness audit.
There was also lack of employee engagement as the staff did not take any initiative and
they also waste time by waiting in order to get directions from superiors. Although,
Managing Director has tried by using 'straight talking' but that did not help either. Also,
the staff hold the MD responsible for all the above mentioned issues and low morale
with lack of initiative. They also elaborated the another issue regarding the leadership
style, professionalism and commitment and employees do not feel connected with the
company any more.
Another issue of the company is lack of recognition and reward system as the
employees do not get rewarded for their work that is why they do not feel motivated and
develop low morale. Also, employees do not get money in their hard time that was one
of the reason of conflict among them.

Another issue is that the staff sees the company as a small business and also the staff
are not open to changes. On the other hand, MD complained that the staff is not
supporting her and some people in the team do not like her as she has not been prepared
to adopt the Indian culture (Trost, 2020). The employees and MD are both blaming each other as the employees say she goes to
movies or swimming class while MD gave the statement that she is always last to leave
at work. MD also wanted the company to operate in the same way like previous with
more professionalism. For that she has changed the hierarchy system by adding more
professionalism in the company
What obstacles would be expected Mr Jacobs to meet in applying recommendations and how
should these be defeated?
Various obstacles faced by Mr Jacob to meet in applying the recommendations are: Better management: As it is important to bring harmonious relationship between
employees and management otherwise there will be low performance and conflicts. To have new customers: For the purpose of staying in business, there is a demand of
consumers as they are responsible for generating profit and bringing more opportunities.
Because customers are the main factor in business in order to expand the business to new
region and area. Change the organisational structure:As mentioned above the organisation structure of
the company is rigid and or traditional approach that is why it is suggested to change or
modify the organisation structure. Expensive: It is also suggested for clients to have their funds properly arranged in order
to engage before a consultant. While in the longer period of time, the factual thing about
an organisation is only paying for what they utilise from a consultant. New system of rewards: As mentioned above in the issues that the company do not
provide the rewards to its deserving employees. It is crucial to appreciate the employees
that can be done by awards, bonus and gifts.
Cultural issues: As differences in the culture at the workplace can be a main issue
because the communication style of people is different from each other as they are
influenced by their cultures and beliefs.

Above problem can be overcome by hiring various consultants for various departments of the
the firm which could be related to various areas like business planning, market researching,
human resource management, operations,, in creating strategies, project management and many
more. This will assist in examining the market segment in which a person or a company to grow
by providing a correct planning or strategies related to market campaigns and other efforts
related to the business. The management should also take care of reward system as it will boost
the morale of the employees that will also allow to keep the workplace happy and positive,
That is why, a consultant will evaluate all the existent planning and procedure to outline the
strategy for an efficiently moving a firm towards a particular goal and objective. For amending
the structure of the organisation, it will require the support of the management and the staff in
making use of available resources. Also, the issue of cultural differences can be resolved by
making proper communication and by learning about different cultures ( Seijts and Gandz,
2018).
TASK 2
Imagining as a Mr Jacobs and have just received the consultant’s written document:
What action would be taken and why?
As it can be seen in the case study that Mr. Jacob has hired consultant in which one of the
consultant was his cousin and the she was English and also had worked in India for around 30
years (Rumyantseva , Krotenko and Zhernakova, 2019). As mentioned in the case study that,
there are many problems faced by the firm which the company can solve by making balanced
relation with other people in which consultants require a proper help from management,
employees, team members and associates. It is important to make proper balance between the
expenses and income for that consultants will provide the proper guidance to bring harmony in
the relations that will directly elevate the level of production in the organisation. If the company
is fail to do so then, it can bring stress in their relations and impact level of production in the
company. Mr. Jacob can also implement and define a proper path or direction to attain a
particular objective in which consultants require important objectives, so working with them to
set a perfect and smart objectives. This will not only clear up what they are expected for but also
permits them to see the growth and work in the future. As consultants also need results of their
working and performance that how they have performed so Mr. Jacob can present the feedback

as per the performance where there is a requirement of improvement like the other people
working in the team or any other aspect of the organisation.
Before appointing the consultant, first of all there is crucial to understand the desired
goals and objectives of the firm so, it is important to take proper time to evaluate the issues
which Mr. Jacob wants to solve (Moktadir and et.al., 2020). Be clear about what Jacob is
expecting from the consultant to attain and recognise everything who may require to be occupied
in the project. It is also necessary to recognise all the hindrance that could impact the project of
the Jobs International, and to be very clear about their timing possibility and fund. After that
Jacob can choose a right consultant who can have right ability to achieve this. As per the given in
case study, English man who is having an experience of 30 years can be able to perform that
because that person is present in India from last 30 years so that person knows about the Indian
people more than Jacob's cousin (Magerakis and Habib, 2021) . So it will be a easygoing
process for that person to value their culture and way of living standards because comfort for the
employees is the priority of every company ton achieve all the objectives which Jacob wants for
Jobs International.
What obstacles would be expected to meet and how would they get over by them?
In the consultancy, there can be many of the hindrance which are featured by the requirements of
all the capabilities and increment in the competence from new companies and also a person who
is working as a consultant, there may be a good requirement and possibility of working for long
duration. Consultants set about their goals, functions and duties from importantly various
structural contexts. Consultants are mostly working from a place outside of a customer's
organisational structure and society. Internal, whereas are associates in the administration's
governmental and societal order. The variations in this visual aspect drive actions that can make
difficult conditions for the project manager. Conflicts are forced to happen, and they may even
undermine a task in the firm ( Liu and Kong, 2021).
Digitised adjustment and modification will also impact all parts of the for consultant,
change the nature of competence, message, declaration and transportation. This can also be a
great obstacle for the Jobs International (India) Ltd as this firm is already facing the trouble as a
consultant and then a quick modification in the technology of the company will affect the
company and to a consultant also. A fundamental effect of increment in digitization is permitting
other participants with various business models and plan of actions to enter the industry. All the

problems were solved by staying lean towards all the employees working in a company by
maintaining a group team as a small group and employ high and concentrated people in
accordance to the requirement of every work and task. Also, going progressively, successful
consultants will give the priority to the objectives over the day to day activity, per cost or timely
bill rates (Levi-Bliech and et.al., 2018). The way progressively dependent on being capable to
point to solve issues, difficulty solved, or progressive result enforced. Also, implementation of
new technology in a fast-changing of surrounding is one of the large business situation that a
businessperson are facing nowadays. The requirement to undertake a consultant to bring off the
technical disturbance becomes imperative. Consultants are professed who gives a short duration
of expert person which help and advice in a specific area or department of the business. They
have advance level of expertness, but they are often expensive and costly as they can perform in
a different manner to the rest of their team.
TASK 3
As the Managing Director of JI (India), Mr Jacob has just detailed all information of the
contents of the consultant’s document. Jacob has asked to make an action program for
changing the situation in six months and prepare the level for the introduction of the
Australian and North American firms.
What actions would be proposed and why?
As there is no shortfall of consultants in this world so a person can be easily found who can
execute for a famous company but to choose a perfect person is a big task for any of the director
for the success and production of the company (Halbert and Ingulli, 2020). A right person will
definitely assist in growing for the good profitability and productiveness of the company. So to
take an action regarding that a first step should be chosen is to define the objective in which there
is a proper planning for the upcoming months or years that what are the objectives which jobs
international wants to attain and that also how much assistive for its future. A correct planning
related to the employees of the company should be done for a proper effective, capacity of
individual and in the improvement of working execution of tasks. Moreover, by looking at the
experience of that individual which a firm wants to choose that is, a person has an experience of
how much years in other firm. This will make easy for the company to choose an individual that
is consultant for a firm. Their attained goals, that is, their resume to what that consultant has
done in the past and by checking the skills and abilities to identify that this particular person is
Document Page
capable to attain all the tasks or not. By talking with that person or by discussing this thing with
that person will help in taking the Jobs International to the peak level in which it will help in
realising all the objectives which is very hard to accomplish and attain.
There are some of the consultants who make use of a written method as determined by
their business association (Boone and et.al., 2019). Others measure every specific condition and
drawn from a broad variety of instrument to make a custom methods. To be sure about the
consultant utilise a conceptualisation that will sound true to them. Some of the consultants are
meeting face to face for a long duration of time like for an hour or twice a month or depends on
them which can be done by using video calls to get rid of travelling which can be again a better
way to understand that person. After performing all this, a perfect or a right person can be chosen
as a consultant in the firm which is very helpful in searching and the implementation of efficient
solutions to do their jobs in a good mode for removing all the issues and growing in the future
(Freeman, Parmar and Martin, 2020).

The obstacles faced are increased competence in the market is a great obstacle for all the
individuals in the market as when the industries will grow then definitely there is a development
or competition in the market. Jobs International will have a big obstacle as there is also a great
availability of different technologies in the market to stay in the competition in the industry.
Automation and artificial intelligence is again a very new concept for the consultant which
permits the firms in all prospect of their industry or marketing in an automatic mode. This is
again a main task which a consultant will have because of this artificial intelligence, so a person
who will be hired as a consultant in the firm have a great disadvantage working in the firm.
To overcome by all this obstacles, there is a requirement that a consultant should add a
great value to Jobs International by helping it in creating an efficient strategy for all the tasks. As
consultants are working for many of the firms, then at the same time they are dealing with
various issues, their ideas for holding a strong levels for any approach of an industry or a person.
As every company requires business management consultancy to increase the whole presentation
of the total organization of the Jobs International by performance which can aid growing the
organization in all views. Management consultancy help the firm in attaining the sources for the
betterment of the company. It also help the organization to gain the usage of fiscal and human
resources. To implement and modify the performance of an organization it is essential to
