A. Recognizing the Moral Dimension
Jobs for You employment agency was sued by employees as they were terminated without valid
grounds. The Employment agency, in their defense stated that the employees had shown irresponsibility
and negligence on their part of which the agency was keeping a record. The agency feared that it might
face allegations by the present employees for keeping record of them which might seem discriminatory or
rude to the employees. Hence the management told Stella, the recruitment manager to make notes in the
name of employees which cannot be used as evidence in court.
Such being the scenario, Stella faces a moral dilemma as while is morally obliged to abide by the
instructions provided by her employee; she is also concerned about the privacy and ethical issues
associated with such an act.
