As the Project manager there will be various goals and objectives which will be set so that the
growth of the project can be attained. The goals which will be set are to provide the reliable cash
flow so that the value of it can be enhanced and the objective will also to expand the business at
the international level. With this the goal will also to maintain the infrastructure by building new
tanks so that the leakage is reduced and the environment can also be protected. In order to
measure the progress of project the actual performance needs to compare with that of the
budgeted performance so that the areas of the variances can be evaluated and accordingly the
actions can be taken (Bell, 2014). The activities of the organization will be measured on the
timely basis so as to ensure that the performance of the individual as well as the organization is
going according to the pre determined plan. This in turn will ensure that the effectiveness is
maintained within the organization by maintaing the accountability as well transparency in the
business processes (Bell, 2014).

or methods you used to determine the scope of the project. Identify all stakeholders.
The scope statement of the organization is:
The main aim is to clean the tank from outside so that the leakage from the tank can be reduced
and the environment may not get harm. With this the Tank 3 will be replaced with another
product that is of the stainless steel so that the recent challenges which are faced by the
organization can be reduced and the success of the organization in the external market can be
attained (Hill, et. al., 2014).
In order to determine the scope of project various processes are used such as:
Identifying the project needs: In this stage the needs of the project are identified and the
benchmarks are set. Same is done for the organization that the benchmarks are set related to the
changing of the tank design as well as their heights so that the basic standards can be set and then
the actual one can be compared with it to determine the actual results.
Confirm objectives and goals of project: The SMART objectives are used so that the proper
guideline can be followed to complete the task which also seems to be realistic and is completed
within the time frame (Hill, et. al., 2014).
Description of Project scope: The leader discusses all the required features as well as the
functioning which is required so that the project can be accomplished and the profitability can be
attained through sustainability. For this all the features of 3 of the tanks are determined in the
case which in turn will help in completing the task at the specified period of time.
Expectations and Acceptance: This process involves that the product is accepted by the
customers and has met the expectations of the customers. In the given scenario it is related to that
the change in tanks according to its design and infrastructure is accepted by the customers as this
will help the organization in getting rid of the fines which are paid due to the environmental
concern (Hill, et. al., 2014). The acceptance of the product will be determined through the
satisfaction of the service for the particular product.

be evaluated timely so that the risk incorporated can be managed and the current issues cannot be
carried in near future.

There are various methods which are used so that the monitoring and the control of the project
can be done and the project can be successfully completed which in turn will help in attainment
of the organizational goals (Jansen, 2014). The methods that are used are as follows:
Monthly Status reports: The team members will have to share the monthly status reports to
their respective heads so that the monitoring of the work can be done that whether the aligned
work is going according to the pre determined targets or not. With this it will also help in
analyzing the variations in the design change of the tanks at the initial stage (Jansen, 2014).
Risk Management: The management of risk is another method which will be used so as to
ensure that the actions are taken which will help in mitigating the risk and also will enable us to
evaluate that actions are according to the Risk Management Plan or not. In the case given this
will help in mitigating the risk of giving the environmental fines due to the leakage from the
tanks in the soils which in turn is harming the environment.
Issue Management: The issue management will help in analyzing and monitoring the issues
which are related with the project and it will enable in resolving the issues through the Proper
project management procedures (Jansen, 2014). For this the proper plan for the redesigning the
tank as well as improving the infrastructure will be taken so that the current issues in the
organization can be resolved and the successful completion of the project can be done so as to
attain the effectiveness as well as efficiency within the organization.
Communication Management: The new strategies will be implemented and established which
will help in promoting the effective communication within the project as well as the organization
(Kendrick, 2015). The project team will also have the weekly updates about the project so that
the reviewing of the completion task and the current work priorities can be done. The issues will
also be communicated which will include the time constraints, impacts and the urgency for the
request of the service.
