Reflective Analysis of Research Project: An In-depth Case Study

INTRODUCTION
The present report has been based on reflection which means writing about the activities that has
been learned from the case study. Along with this, the report has been based on type of research
and the skills required to cover the project and make it appropriate. Moreover, the study will
discuss about the way case study will impact on research.

Presenting reflection on case study
Throughout the case study I have analysed that Isabelle has been trying to make research
project on manager of the company and the way it deals with pressure in workplace as well as
what kind of coping strategies has been used by them. Although Isabelle have conducted
research and then found out that there is need to make use of two theories such as world of
practice and theory. I have realized that there are two type of research in like primary and
secondary scholar can make use of one of the method in order to find the relevant data for the
project. Moreover, before making the research topic it is important to write down the title, aims
and objectives as it will allow the reader to known about what has been covered in the project
and how it is useful for them (Fang, Liu and Liu, 2022). In addition to this, I have gained
knowledge that there two types of research which need to be adopt by scholar in order to gather
information. The two methods are known as qualitative and quantities. The qualitative is known
as type of research theories are used as it mainly related with theoretical approaches whereas in
case of quantities method deals with numerical data such as facts and figures. Although I have
identified in the case that Isabelle has been adopted for qualitative method as it is not very good
in statistical approach. However, it is crucial for scholar to research about the topic in order to
known what kind of research type it will be requiring.
Moreover, I have found that Isabelle has adopted for qualitative method as its topic is
related to management and there are various theories and framework related to it. However, I
have learned that there are various techniques which has been used by scholar such as data
collection tactics, data analysis techniques and structure of report (Russell and et.al., 2020).
Throughout the case study I have identify that there have been two types of collection of data
such as primary and secondary. The primary is known as gathering information through surveys,
questionnaire and interview from the participant selected for project. On other hand secondary is

known as method of collecting the data through books and journals, articles and blog related to
topic. In the case study Isabella has made use of primary and secondary method of collection of
data in order to gather raw information from candidates selected for project as well as to present
different viewpoints of author (Xia and et.al., 2022). Moreover, I have analysed that in research
project there is chapter of methodology and it is important to mentioned as it allow reader to
known the way information has been collected. It provides detail plan that helps to keep scholar
on track and making the process smooth and effective.
Furthermore, I have learned from the case study that there has been section of Data
analysis in which collected information are presented in graphical manner or in form of chart.
The data from questioner the numerical form of data is presented and interpreted so that reader
can understand as well as in case of interview response of candidates are presented in good
manner (Choi, 2020). Moreover, for data analysis software like excel is used to make charts and
graphs as well as to calculate the collected information. Although for making the research project
look effective scholar need to have searching skill, technical and writing skill. Research ability
helps in finding out relevant data for the study and make the project look more authentic whereas
writing skill helps in presenting the matter in attractive manner. Although technical skill is must
as in most of the research it asks for Gantt chart so knowledge of excel help in solving
numerical data.
Case study learning will impact
It was great to learn from the case study regarding the importance of research and the
way it can help companies or society to learn about changes or making use of strategies to deal
with the challenges. Along with this, I was very confused about structuring of my research and
faced difficulty as it was confusing for me. Although with the help of case I have cleared my
doubts regarding structure and it has helped me in presenting the data effectively. It was
beneficial for me to learn about each section of project such as literature review, writing aims
and objectives and to select specific company (Ewiss, 2020). However, this has contributed in
my research as now I am able to make clear title and then aims and objectives. In literature
review I search for articles and blog related to research topic as it helps in collecting information
that is relevant. I have also gained knowledge that articles and journals are should be of current
year as it will make the research look authentic. I was facing difficulty in writing about the

methodology as it was defect for me to understand ways to write them and how to make use of
effective one.
However, the concept was clear through case study as it made clear about type of
research like qualitative and quantitative (Li and et.al., 2018). If the type is clear, then collecting
information becomes easy and methodology section act like detail plan and make the process
smooth. In addition to this, my data collection method of research has been improved as I got
deep understanding about primary and secondary method. In my research I will be making use of
both the approaches as it helps in widen the scope of project. Although for primary I will be
selecting candidates and collect their feedback through questionnaire and interview as well as for
secondary viewpoints of different author will be taken into consideration. Moreover, I was
feeling happy that my data analysis section has been enhanced a bit as I know how to calculate
late primary data and the way to present it in report.
In addition to this, this case study was inspiring as I use to think that research is
complicated in nature and it require lot of time to complete it. But with the help of case study
there has been major and minor concept has been addressed and made it clear for me (Sprague
Martinez and et.al., 2020). Although I have learned various tactics to collect information and the
way to present it as well as I have analysed that research helps in improving writing and critical
thinking skills. Throughout the research I have learned good techniques which are helpful in
dealing with the complication arises during the project and to improve overall academic skill. I
have gained knowledge regarding structuring of report and how to make use of theories in
research to make it look appropriate.
Although I am glad to known that other students have also faced issue regarding the
research project as I was bit nervous while doing it. Moreover, while doing my research I have
realized that I was feeling happy while doing the literature review section as it was easy to find
and available on internet (Clarà and et.al., 2019). In case of primary I faced difficulty as my
communication skill is not good and it was hard for me to select the candidate and interact with
them. Along with this, case study has helped me learn about research project and the ways to
select appropriate techniques in order to make the study more authentic. However, in my
research I will be adopting for both the method of collecting data such as primary and secondary
so that I can get raw information and theoretical knowledge as it will help in giving accurate

recommendation for dealing with issues. Thus, research helps in improving academic skill that is
crucial for students for developing performance.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been summarized about reflection related to case study of Isabell
which is based on research project. In the report it has been depicted about skill that have been
learned during the case study as well as it has elaborated type of research and skills that are used
by researcher for making the project look more authentic. The study has also summarized about
the way case study learning will impact on the research and the way it is useful.
