REVIEW PERSONALITY TEST
a) The big five-personality test is very useful to describe the personality of an individual. The big
five-personality model represents five aspects that help to make a clear understanding of the
relationship between personality traits and behavior (Stajkovic, et al. 2018). With the help of this
model, find out on which trait I score high and on which I score low.
I score average marks in four personality traits out of five and in one personality trait that is
openness to experience I scored low, this reflects that I am the person who focuses to solves the
problem that is technical in nature rather conceptual problem, give preference to traditional
practices. In Conscientiousness, I score 70 that is average but out of five, it is highest. This
reflects that I am able to manage, organized work, and perform a task to achieve a goal. The third
trait is Extraversion I have scored moderate marks in this, which is 67 this shows that in am not
reserve nature person and not so much talkative. In agreeableness, I scored 67 that is again,
average this reflects that I am cooperative and compassionate to some extent. In the last trait that
is emotional stability, I scored moderate marks 66 and this represents that I am able to handle
situations under stress with a positive attitude.
b) Results of personality traits show that I am the somewhere conservative type of person but I
think I am not that type of person who follows and prefer traditional approaches and outlook all
the time I am not saying that I never follow the traditional approach I prefer those when needed
but yes not all the time. Results show I scored average marks in Conscientiousness I think I
should score high in this because I am a self-organized person and takes work very seriously. In
agreeableness according to results, I am at the average stage I think in some of the qualities that
fall under this trait I have those traits such as I am the person who always gives preference to
cooperation over conflicts and competition. In this manner, some of the results shown by the
personality test tell me right about myself and a few of the results not exactly reflect my
personality.
c) Emotional strength
Positive attitude- I always think positive and try to look at each aspect of the situation in a
positive manner. Always make it possible to ignore the negative aspect of the things and focus

on the positive aspect that is very helpful for me to increase my motivation and encourage me to
perform well.
Organized- This is one of the emotional strength that I like to be organized and want to organize
work as well.
Cooperative- I think this is my strongest emotional strength I am good at working together to
achieve a specific goal.
Managing stressful situation-As per the questions asked in the personality test, I got to know
that I am very good at managing situations under stress.
Creativity- This reflects that I do not like to follow the status quo and try to challenge that in
order to make positive changes and always try to explore possibilities to adapt to changing
circumstances.
d) Emotional weakness
Over thinking-This is an emotional weakness because it results to think too much rather than
doing and acting things. This prevents me to take effective actions when needed and puts me on
the loop of thinking repeatedly. Sometimes this, in turn, results in anxiety and worry.
Helping all-I found that this is my emotional weakness from the result of a personality test.
Being supportive and cooperative is good but try to make everyone happy and always ready to
help sometimes turn into weakness because people start taking you for granted.
Soft-heartedness- This is somewhere relate to helping all and take care of others. Always
present to help others and try to solve their problems.
Down to earth- According to the answer to the questions asked in the personality test, I found
that this is one of my emotional weakness. It is good to be down to earth but along with this, it is
very to maintain dignity and respect of yours in front of others.
Quick Decision- To take decisions quickly without analyzing and evaluating aspects and
situations properly leads to inefficient decisions. However, this can help me to make decisions
quickly but not to make sound decisions.

e) Above-mentioned emotional strengths help me to maintain and build a good relationship at the
workplace as well as help me to enhance performance such as positive attitude enable me to
boost the motivation of subordinate and colleague while performing the task as well as make me
able to create a healthy workplace where the employees like and enjoy to work. It can be said
that a better attitude leads to better performance. Cooperativeness helps me to create a healthy

this can result in work inefficiency and decreases productivity. As I mentioned I overthink this
generates negative results for me at the workplace. If I fail to achieve expected results sometimes
then I think on that more rather than focusing on aspects that can help me to achieve better
results next time. This will directly or indirectly affect my performance. Being down to earth and
helping all not always has positive impact sometimes it has a negative impact. Helping all is not
a weakness but if I expect something, in return of that then it can be a weakness for me. I help
people in the organization then I am expecting that they should acknowledge for that and they
should be grateful to me then this can result to spoil good relationship at the workplace. Taking
quick decisions without considering all the aspects and factors affect my performance as well as
relationship directly.

CASE STUDY
1) After analyzing the case I got to know that following emotions Yuko could be feeling
Lack of support because there is the situation of tension between Yuko and her team
leader and team leader is the one who can provide her necessary support when needed
there is the top management but if any problem arises then Yuko have to communicate it
with team leader first, she cannot communicate it with top management directly.
Secondly, she feels isolated because of the tensed situation she leaves to go in staff social
functions. She could feel ignored and not appreciated by the team leader. She also feels
that her performance getting decrease because of all of this.
2) Beryl is the team leader of the telemarketing team. Supervise and manage a team of the
eight members. Beryl could feel that Yuko is not respecting her and there is the mistake
at the end of Yuko. Beryl thinks that because of this stressful situation the whole team of
Beryl is suffering and not able to perform effectively to achieve the target and as a results
targets are not met by a team member. She feels that this is affecting the performance of
another team member. She is getting a problem to understand the accent of Yuko.
3) The manager is the representative of the business as well as organizes and manages
functions of the organizations. Workplace situation effects manager. In this case, there is
a stressful situation between beryl and Yuko and this will affect the manager. The
manager feels that is there any mistake by his end that he is not able to solve the problem
arises in the organization. The manager feels that there is poor communication and not a
proper understanding among the team members.
4) Yes, I would expect cultural differences in the emotions as beryl is from Australia and
Yuko is from Japan. It can be said that people of japan is more emotional as compared to
Australia. The way to greed is different in both the cultures, Japanese greed in a different
way there is more respect reflect when Japanese greed and on the other hand Australians
handshake when they meet with others. From the case study, I found that the Japanese are
more reliable than Australians.
5) By showing Empathy, this will help Beryl and Yuko to present their point of view and
feelings freely and this will ensure comfort zone to both of them to share their feelings
and thoughts. Secondly by providing both of them paper or pen that help them to write

6) Following are the techniques that ensure Beryl and Yuko get the opportunity to reflect on
the effect of their behavior and emotions.
Communication-It is an effective technique that helps both of them to present their
emotions and feeling in the meeting, they can present those emotions and thoughts
verbally. This will help the management to understand thoughts and feeling of both of
them.
By comparing results-As in the case it is mentioned that from the strange behavior of
Beryl the performance of Yuko. On the other hand stressful situation affect the
performance of Beryl as well. Through this, the management can identify how their
emotions and feeling reflect on their work.
7) I will give the following advice and tips to Beryl and Yuko that help them to manage
their emotions.
First one is to understand emotional needs- Everyone has an emotional need which is
as important as physical need. Both of them should take the time to understand the
importance of emotional needs that are important to both of them. For instances,
emotional needs can be feeling comfortable, feeling respected, etc.
Know triggers- It is very important for Beryl and Yuko to identify things that negatively
trigger their emotions. It is very normal for a person to go through the wide range of
emotions in the whole day but the key is to manage emotions to reduce the negative
impact of emotions on daily life.
Try to shift focus- when both of them get to know what is triggering their negative
emotions then they can try to shift their focus from that thing, situation, and person.
Calm down- I will suggest that when both of them experience strong emotions then it is
important to be calm down it is quite difficult to act and think rationally at the time of
that situation.
Take time out-This is one of the effective ways to manage emotions. If there is a tensed
situation between Beryl and Yuko then it is better to step away from that situation.

8) Workplace conflicts reflect the productivity of our work. There are some practical
approaches by which the conflicts and discrepancies could be handled given below-
Talk with the other person- a team member can talk to any senior person. This will help
the person to find out a resolution for his problem at the workplace.
Focus on the behavior and events- the person must focus on the behavior and events
that happened in the workplace instead of the personality of the person. The behavior and
events will help the person to find out the resolution of actual conflict.
Listen carefully- This is important for the individual to listen to the problem without any
interruption. After hearing the same, the problem solver must rephrase the same which is
said by the person to ensure that whatever the person said is correct. And finally, they
should ask questions related to their problem.
Identification of consent and dissent of members- This is important for the problem
solver to identify the consent and dissent of both the persons who are having the conflicts
between each other and then needs to summarize the areas of conflicts with the
agreement and disagreement of both persons.
Prioritize the areas of conflicts- After identifying the agreements and disagreements of
the persons; the problem solver is required to highlight the most important part of their
conflict which should be resolved necessarily.
Develop a plan and build the success- The problem solver needs to develop a plan with
the help of both the persons to work on each conflict so that their conflicts and
discrepancies could be resolved at the workplace and finally needs to build success by
solving the conflict between both persons.
