Introduction
Information Systems are being used at a wide scale in the present times. There are various
business units and industries that are making use of the information systems for the execution of
the business tasks and activities. Accounting and sales is one such area which is making
enhanced use of technology for simplification of the activities and the ability to attain better
accuracy and processing speed. A regional CPA firm is also required to make use of the
automated systems to keep a track of the payments and also to extract several reports associated
with the same. There are various processes that currently run in the organization, such as,
management of the customer payments which may be received in the form of cash or in the mail
as well. The process that is associated with the handling and processing of the cash that is
received along with the payments that are received in mail are different from each other. There
are various manual processes that are being followed by the firm at the present time. These
processes may lead to a number of different problems in terms of the speed of operations,
manual errors and faults, replication of data and many more (Harsh, 2013). The use of advanced
automated systems in the handling and management of the payments at the firm will make sure
that the current set of problems and issues are overcome. This will also provide the employees
with the ability to execute the tasks and activities at a faster pace.

Conclusion
The use of manual processes and methods in the organizations can bring a lot many challenges
and issues. These issues may belong to a number of different areas and categories, such as,
operational, technical, managerial, security and many more. The implementation of the
automated information systems in the organization will lead to the resolution of such issues and
will also offer many additional benefits. The level of customer satisfaction will rise as the
customers will be provided with better quality results in minimal time. There are various
operational errors and mistakes that the employees of the organization make because of the use

of manual processes. With the aid of the automated systems, the productivity and the efficiency
levels of the employees will also improve. It is because of the reason that the employees will be
provided with the capability to manage the payments and the entire cash flow with a simplified
process. The information associated with the process will also be managed accurately and easily
(Alcami & Caranana, 2015). There may be a number of security risks and attacks that may
emerge with the use of manual methods. These attacks may include the loss of the documents or
the stealing of the documents. There may also be a lot of duplication of the data which may lead
to ambiguities. With the implementation of the automated systems, the data and information will
be adequately managed and the security attacks as described earlier will also be avoided. The
migration from the current to the automated systems shall be done with a proper implementation
plan.
