Introduction
An introductory animated video for the game which covers how the game boss along
with his army captures the castle of Casterly Rock. It shows how the boss attacked the
castle from all sides leaving no way for the player to escape and now there is nothing
he can do but fight.
The game is inspired from the famous tv series “Game of thrones”. The idea being
developed will allow the player to fight the boss’ army using the items he will be
allowed to pick up. The game will not showcase any high-quality graphics and instead
will be developed as a classic 2D style game with its own uniqueness. This introductory
sequence will help to create a background of the story and will enable the player to
understand how much it necessary it is for the character to take revenge from the boss.

Theme
This story has been created with a ‘Cartoon’ theme option and gives the player a
feeling that they are a character in the main story of the game. The scene has been
derived from George R.R. Martin’s famous TV series Game of Thrones. I will be trying to
keep the game environment intense by creating a sense of seriousness. The story will
be narrated to the player along with small animations in between the game to keep the
story building as the player moves towards the end.
The game will be set within the castle and the player will need to get to the boss and
take control of the castle after beating the enemy soldiers. The narration of the story
will be supported with intense war music in the background. The game environment
will showcase the destruction the boss has done to the player’s castle in a quest to
capture it.
Storyboards
The following storyboards on the following pages provide a more detailed explanation
of the planned product.
(Note that: At least one storyboard should be provided for each page of your story.
You may need to provide a separate storyboard for some of your
banner/animations in order to describe/demonstrate your planned design
ideas.
The following storyboard format is one option. You may choose other formats
as long as you include the same details)

Music: Intense war music to create a sense of revenge and a need to win the castle
back.
Army: The enemy army would produce clamouring sounds as they would during a
battle.
Character pop-up: During the narration, popping up of a character would make a
bubble pop sound.
Loading: Heavy drums will be played with a slow tempo on the loading screen.
Mouseover: The mouseovers would make the sound of swords clashing.
Onclick: Clicking a button would make a sword-drawing sound.
Additional background sounds: The overall scene would be supported by background
noises of cheering soldiers and fighting with each other. This sound will be played along
the background music and will be kept a bit low compared to the music.
IMAGES
The sequence will require background of a wrecked castle with dead soldiers and
destroyed city around it. This image will have to be sourced from the internet (please
check the media list below).
An image of a shield will be used for the help button and one of a sword for the skip
button will be required.
Buttons:
The help button will look like a shield and will be available at the top right to allow the
players to access the help page in case they want assistance with something regarding
the game.
The skip button will be placed at the bottom right of the screen for the player who do
not wish to go through the complete game sequence.
The next button would be placed at the bottom centre of the screen to move on to the
next dialogue when there is one-to-one conversation between the characters.
Background:
The background will show a soldier with a bow and arrow in his hand. To show that the
game is now loading, the solider will release the arrow which will move as the game
loads. The arrow will actually show the loading progress. The background will turn to
the destroyed castle when the game has finished loading.
Content:
The scene will be a 20-30 second narration which takes the player through the story of
the game. There will be a brief chat between the boss and the player character just

before the game actually begins. The chat dialogues would be shown as if they are
being typed as the characters speak each sentence.
Description (purpose / objectives):
This will be the first part of the intro movie which will introduce the player to the game
and will give the player an idea of the game storyline and background. This scene will
begin after the game has loaded, the player will see the scene after the loading screen.
Just before the beginning of the game, the game title will be displayed with a destroyed
look which will fade away in a few seconds.
After the end of the intro, the player character would come running from inside the
castle and as he comes out, he will draw his sword out and the game would begin.
Animations:
The player character would be running with a moving background.
The shield would animate (user feedback).
The sword would animate (user feedback).
The next button would animate (user feedback).
User Interactions Required:
The player will need to click the shield button to go to the help menu.
The next button will skip instantly to the next dialogue.
The skip button would skip the intro entirely.
User Feedback:
The shield button will animate the shield being cracked along with a heavy clashing
sound as the user clicks the help button.
The skip button would make the sword shine with a sword draw sound supporting the
animation.
The next button would get disabled just for a second before the next dialogue can be
skipped again. Pressing this button would make a simple click sound.
