Current position
Our charity agency deals with the following: Giving relief food to the affected areas with
floods and droughts, educating people about preventing the drought, and strategies they should
put to curve the drought, providing water to those in need and educating them too (Jenkins,
2014). The agency also provides shelter and clothing to the people, and make those that are not
able to access education access it by paying their school fees to the schools they are already
enrolled in. From March 2017, the agency has been improving its services and plans to make
sure that by the year 2025, there will be less victims of calamities in USA, whenever they arise,
due to proper preparations. Currently, the agency is trying to build dams in the areas where there
are water problems so as that water from the rain can be harvested and stored (Govekar, 2010).
So far so good, a number of achievements have been met and these include building houses for
immigrants and refugees, provision of food and clothing to the poor communities, drilling of
boreholes in a few arid and semiarid regions of USA, teaching people smart farming methods
and provision of affordable healthcare services. We have many university students who we have
paid their fees from preschool, while a few others have completed college training and can thus
support themselves as well as their families.
Future initiatives
Catholic charity in USA has underway plans to initiate the process of pumping water
from some rivers and storing it in large storage ranks during rainy season, which can in turn be
used for irrigation. This project will be completed in the next 6 months if we get the targeted
funds from the government. When the dam construction process gets completed, the charity will
bring to an end water rationing problems in the dry parts of USA. Adoption of irrigation will
lower down food shortage, because extensive and smart farming techniques will be introduced to

the residents alongside use of water in farming. Giving residents of these areas education has
also enabled Catholic charity to reach its goals since several thousands of school going children
have received sponsorships from this organization (Brown et al., 2009). However, adequate
education facilities have not been achieved and hence the organization plans to construct several
schools in different parts of the country. In future the organization is planning to ensure that they
improve the future of every poor citizen in USA by making all the basics they need available by
giving the people what is required to curve the current food shortages and water shortage.
Challenges
Currently Catholic Charity is facing a number of challenges with the major one being
inadequate finances. In most cases, when calamities like draught, famine, earthquakes and floods
occur, the agency is not able to offer enough support like evacuation and foods due to lack of
adequate finances for prior preparation. This catholic charity in USA is a not a business as
people in local areas have been thinking, and hence the communities are not collaborative
(Jackson, 2015).
