1HISTORY
The revolutionary war waged by the American colonies against the British influenced
many of the revolutions and the political ideas around the globe (Paine, 2015). The revolution
was the colonial revolt that took place within 1765 and 1783. Apart from the various other
causes, some of the biggest reasons behind the American Revolution are the quartering act, the
proclamation of 1763, the Indian and the French war, the Intolerable acts and the Boston
Massacre.
The proclamation of 1763 influenced the causes of the American Revolution because all
the lands west of the Appalachian Mountains was off the limits. Furthermore it was hard for the
British for enforcing this over the colonists who felt their win on the land from the France. The
quartering act on the other hand forced the colonist for allowing the Britain soldiers for staying at
their home. The quartering act mad the colonists upset since it was an indirect tax where the
government payed less for the expense of the military (Coccia, 2018). One of the major reason
behind the occurrence of the war had been the French and the Indian war. This is because the
war caused the colonies to feel that they can be independent from the great Britain and made
them unite together to fight to the great American revolution. Another reason, the intolerable acts
that was passed by the parliament on the year 1664 that was majorly used to torture the colonist
influenced them to protest against the continental congress. Finally the Boston massacre ignited
the fire within the colonist against the British soldiers for the American Revolution.
