This research proposal aims to examine the reasons for depression and its consequences on the mental health of youngsters living in the UK. It outlines the major reasons for depression, such as environmental issues, negative thought patterns, and social challenges like peer pressure and changing hormone levels. The proposal identifies the consequences of depression, including sadness, loss of interest, irritability, and withdrawal from family and friends. Furthermore, it explores strategic ways to mitigate depression, such as educating teens about positive working cultures, creating safety plans, promoting healthy diets and sleep schedules, and encouraging help-seeking behaviors. The ultimate goal of the study is to address depression as a significant issue that hampers the lives of youngsters and reduces their overall efficiency.
