INTRODUCTION
Operation and information management refers to development of efficiency with the help
of applying administration practices. The proper management of operation and information
facilitate the business to increase the profits of the business by converting the materials and
human resources into innovative products and services. Chris and Clive are former musicians
who are also involved in teaching music to lot number of individuals. They have opened a
musical industry named “CC Music”. The focus of the company is to expand their business in
areas like North west of England. Report highlights business process models and strategy
analysis for CC music (Polyvyanyy, Smirnov and Weske, 2015). It also discusses about open
source software in order to give software solution to company. Assignment further highlights
recommendation given for improving software use of industry.

Business process model
In order to open new agency ,CC music needs to adopt various business process model.

BPMN: The business process management initiative has established a standard business
process modelling notation. This model will support CC music in designing a draft for the
process that needs to be undertaken for establishing an agency. Also, it will assist the owners in
preparing a flow chart that will help the organisation in implementing various types of
technologies that includes use of varied software. BPMN will also assist company in creating an
internal model which will help in making the generation of executable BPEL4WS. So with the
support of BPMN, CC music can reduce the gap that lies between procedures of business, design
and implementation of process.
This model will help in developing flow chart which will produce friendly figures that
allow company to focus on different aspects of business (Polyvyanyy, Smirnov and Weske,
2015). With the support of BPMN, CC music can be able to lay emphasis on factors like building
consumer relationship, event to be organised, promotional methods to be used, budget to be
prepared, software technologies that needs to be implemented and many more. The model is a
flow chart technique which puts the activities of the company in order of their priority. So, by
this the owner of CC music will come to know about on which factor they need to lay more
emphasis. Also, the tool will support company in communicating the information related to their
agency across the wide audiences. By this their clients will be aware about the services that the
CC music agency will be going to provide.
Data flow diagram Model: CC music can make use of data flow diagram model that
represents information in a graphical form. It makes use of symbols like rectangles, circles,
arrows and diamonds. All the data put in these diagrams are inter-linked with each other. This
diagram can assist company in easily launching the new agency. It creates a primary presentation
which will provide owner of the company to know about the task without going in detail. Also, it
defines the role which will be played by each sector in brief format. Also, when company will
show this chart to their investors it would be easy for them to understand it and also it will not
take more time.
Company by using this model can reduce cost and save a lot of time. Through data flow
diagram, CC music has been easily able to identify how the system will operate, what inputs
would be required in order to main the system and how the system design would be implemented
(Polyvyanyy, Smirnov and Weske, 2015). This will provide end user with information related to

where the input of the system has an ultimate effect on the structure or not. The model can be
used to analyse and design the different structures that can support CC music in establishing a
new agency. It shows the inter connection between flow of data that enhances the working
efficiency of the organisation. This model explains that how a system can be developed through
data flow diagram.
Strategic analysis for CC music using SWOT
Strength: Company is making use of various flow diagrams such as business process
modelling notation and data flow diagram that acts a strength of company. The owners of the
organisation are working on building customer relationship and using new and updated
technologies like making use of the model like BPMN assist firm in exploring the wider range

Weakness: CC music has a weakness that they are only using few softwares like

company. While launching agency owners of industry can utilise other model charts like UML

Chiang, 2016). Also, the weakness of the organisation is that they are only focusing on a

expanding their agency across the globe.
Opportunities: CC music is going to launch new agency in the region. For grabbing new
opportunities, they need to have keen analysis of the market. This will also help them in gaining
competitive advantages. Company will have new opportunities when they launch music
according to the needs and wants of customers. They need to evaluate about what type of music
the audience listens to and also they are expected to define their targeted audiences. Competitors’
analysis will also support company in gaining new opportunities. Also, this will build a good
image in the mind of consumers and they would be better able to grow (García-Holgado and
et.al., 2015).
Threat: CC music can get surrounded by risk or threat as they are going to launch new
agency. Competitors and their services can produce threat for the company. For this, organisation
must be involved in forecasting and defining strategies that will assist them in overcoming risk.
If organisation is not involved in measuring threat it might hamper their growth. Also, threat can
be raised because of factors like recession period in region, rules and policies implemented by
authorities, natural calamities(Burrough and.et.al 2015). Company must make strategic plan
while considering all these factors. This will help them in growing.

The CC music company aims at expanding its business in global markets, and in order to
that it has made a current situation analysis report which guides the organisation to bring changes
which will benefit the organisation in growing and developing its business(Hacklin, Björkdahl
and Wallin, 2018). So this report will include situation analysis done by the CC music co. in
order to find its internal strength and weakness. And it will also include various strategies used in
order to bring changes in the software used in the co. which can benefit and facilitate the
organisation.

Situational analysis of CC Music Company defines about the internal strength and weakness of
the company.
company is building customer relationship, this can be useful for retaining the customer
in organisation. Offering some types of discounts, free products can help in building loyal
customer base as this will help in achieving the total sales in an organisation. This leads to
increase the financial strength of the company(Haksever and Render, 2018). If sales increase,
revenue of the company will also increase and this leads to achieve better gross profit in the
company. Because of these customers likes the services provided by company and will give
positive feedback and recommend others too which leads to improve strong customer strength in
an organisation.
While focusing on particular area of work this makes company to reduce their market
share and company cannot earn revenue from the different sectors of areas. So for improving this
factor company has to do business in different areas. Company will suffer internal weakness
when they have opportunity to work in different areas and they are not doing. Competitors in
market will get the customers of different areas and because of this company has to bear the high
competition in the market. Turnover in certain specific areas leads company to suffer the weak
learning and growth in organisation(Kavvadias and et.al., 2018).

opportunities and threats which can affect the organisation and its operation. The CC Music
Company get affected by various external factors, that are as follows.
Political factors needs to be considered by CC Music Company as it affects the
organisation. The political factors include government policies, foreign trade policies, tax policy,
etc. The policies regarding international transaction may affect the operations of the
organisations, or it may also provide barriers in transactions(Klychova and et.al., 2014).
Economic factor affects the business operations of CC Music Company as it affects the
consumer’s behaviour in decision making. A down fall in market would result in loss to CC
Music Company, as consumer will go for another option. CC Music Company has its revenues
dependent on the low cost of labour. This is changing which will lead to higher prices. CC Music
Company has grown in recent years as it creates many employment opportunities. It needs to
keep its business strategies updated in order to bring innovation and creation in business
operations and gain competitive advantages(Laudon and Laudon, 2016).
Social factors includes social customs, traditions followed, people’s choice and their
behaviours towards the growing business of CC Music Company. Social factors have impact on
decisions making of customers regarding choice of music, to make advance technology for
society, to work in good faith of society and its employees. It also needs to look forward to make
its employee work in environment of advance technology and provide them with appropriate
training. Technological factors such as internet software infrastructure of CC Music Company
have its own advantage of being recognised in today’s advance technological world(Lim and
NEXTLABS Inc, 2016). The CC Music Company can further bring advanced technological
change and bring innovation and creation in the business operations of the company, and in order
to bring changes, it needs to provide training to its employees and motivate and encourage them
to cope up with the changes.
Environmental factors such as geographical area of business, the climatic conditions etc
also affects the business of CC music Company. The CC Music Company operates its business
after considering all the environmental factors before applying any new or advance strategies in
its business operations. The company identifies the available opportunities and take advantage of
it, it also avoids the upcoming threats and make its business running in smooth way. Legal factor

changes in its business operations according to the regulation changes provided by the
government. It also makes it business operation by keeping up with the regulations on
employment and health and safety of its employees. The changes in legal rules bring changes to

The CC Music Company should make effective plans and strategies i n order to bring
changes. The company can expand its business in global market by increasing its human
resource and bring advance and upgraded technology, and it should also focus on bringing
changes in its operations in order to bring positive outcomes(Mumtaz, 2008). The Company
should apply Microsoft excel which can help the business in drawing graphs and determine the
actual performance.
Conclusion
From the above study it can be concluded that changes are beneficial for business, by
taking support of advanced software the entity can increase its efficiency and bring innovation
and creation which can benefit the organisation to achieve its objectives, this will also benefit the
company to gain competitive advantage and increase its market share and also increase the
profitability of the company.
Recommendations
The CC Music company should use microsoft word software in order to maintain and
present the information data. The microsoft word allows processing of program on which users
can type and store the data and information easily. The CC Music company should use this
software to maintain the official documents of the co. The CC Music company should also
implement the advance level of softwares which will allow the organisation to maintain and store
the data and information in an effective way(Olson, Johansson and De Carvalho, 2018.). The CC
organisation should also provide the training programs to guide them about the uses of the
advance softwares.
Part D: Reflection Of Contribution For The Online Discussion
Description: I have conducted a study on CC Music company. I have gone through
SWOT and PESTLE analysis of the company.

Feelings: I have initially felt so frustrated as I didn't knew about the implementation of
software's. But later on after doing swot and pestle analysis for the company, my understanding
got clear.
Evaluation: this helped me in evaluating the situation analysis of the business. And it also guided
me an accurate description of the soft-wares used in the company. The evaluating process made
me happy and satisfied as it completed the assessment process and developed my level of
understanding(Polyvyanyy, Smirnov and Weske, 2015).
Analysis: from this analysis, I learnt that company should focus on training its department to
effectively use the software as it will benefit the organisation. The proper learning of employees
will lead to their better performance and ultimately, targeted goals will be achieved.
I used different plans and strategies while researching about the company's analysis, and the
main strength of my plan was achieved. The main strength was to find out about the company's
measurable outcomes if plan is implemented.
Conclusion: I conclude that implementation of advance software plan was successful and it
benefited the CC Music organisation. And in the future, it will lead the CC company to grow and
develop. And in order to implement more advance softwares the company must train its
employees.
Action plan: the CC company should encourage the employees to effectively participate in
training sessions(Vibhor and et.al., 2015). I will develop my knowledge and understanding by
researching about the advance software and its benefits in organising the information
management.
CONCLUSIONS
From the above presented report, it is concluded that in order to manage operations and
information of the business organisation, it needs to adopt advance technological changes in
order to bring innovation and creation. This benefits the organisation by bringing technological
improvements, better capabilities of human resources are identified, meeting the objectives of the
organisation.
