2.1 Analysis of theories, principles and
models of communication.
 One of the main and essential objectives of teaching is communication.
 Some kind of communication is involved in the interaction of any kind between
learners and teachers.
 The very basic form of communication involves a message which has been
transferred by the sender and received by the receiver.

 Communication is very necessary for teaching. The one-way communication may
lead to frustration on the end of the receiver. The analysis of theories, principle,
and model of communication can be done by:

 Transactional analysis
 According to transactional analysis, the communication can be done in 3ego states
i.e. child state, parent state and adult state this affects how we receive, recognize
and responds to the information.
 There are 3 combinations of transactions. I.e. complementary transactions, ulterior
transactions and crossed transactions.
 The best way of transaction or communication is Adult- Adult.

 The communication style
 In this, the cyclical relationship in the communication between sender and
receiver has been described.
 It is based on seven core components.
 It states that effective communication can be done easily if the message was clear,
accurate and easily interpreted and understood by all , but noise can create
problems and lead to ineffective communication.

 Shannon and weaver
 Shannon and Weaver's model is designed especially for the effective
communication between sender and receiver
 This method is also known as the mathematical theory of communication because
it gives a technique for the problem of how to fetch maximum information in the
given channel.
 This method also finds the factor which affects the communication process known
as ‘noise’

 There are many models of communication that can be applied in various types of
teaching, assessment and learning. The lesson plan that has been made will be
dependent on the model of the teaching chosen.
 The transactional analysis should be applied where the aim is to empower the
students to move from childish interaction to adult communication so that they
can be more passionate and take decisions more accurately, adults are more
logical and reasoning that’s why adult-adult interactions are best.

 The communication cycle has its seven core components by which the message
can be communicated effectively, the communication cycle will be more effective
and the best result will come out of it if the teaching and communication have
been done in two ways.
 The Shannon and Weaver method also known as the mathematical theory of
communication will give the best result if the communication and teaching have
been done in two ways, it also provides the factors which affect the effective
communication known as ‘noise’ that will also help in getting the best result.
