instead of techniques. There is no universal solution for any problem or issue. So, the taken firm
Cello electronics also needs to focus on the problems and issues which needs to be resolved in
earliest manner. Every problem is treated different not the same, so the cited firm needs to focus
the problems instead of focusing on the technique which can be used for handling the problem
(Artto, Ahola and Vartiainen, 2016).

distribution. Through this approach, managers of Cello electronics can decrease their cost in
producing the TVs. Principles of lean production are discussed below: Elimination of waste: According to this principle, waste can be minimised by properly
utilising the resources. The Manager of Cello electronics can use the lean production for
eliminating the excess wastage for increasing the profitability. Kaizen: This principle state that the aspects which are not adding the value to the product
must be eliminated. The manager of Cello electronics can improve the software of TV as
improvements in feature which will be proved beneficial for the firm in increasing the
sales. Just in time production: This principle states that the managers of Cello electronics
needs to focus on task working for customer satisfaction.
Negative affect of implementing the lean production
This process is time and cost consuming in case when extra resources are required for
performing the business operations. Also this process is complex and difficult in implementation due to which project
managers can face issues in implementing the lean production.
Six sigma: It is an operation management principle which is used for determining the
defects and errors in the products (Floricel and et. al., 2014). The managers of Cello electronics
can use this for identifying the flaws of their newly developed product for increasing the sales.
Through this approach, the sales and profit of the firm will increase due to elimination of errors
and defect in the TV. Basic principles of six sigma are discussed below: Customer focus: This principle states that the manager of Cello electronics needs to
modify their TV according to the requirements of customers. If not done so, then
customers may not buy this product. Identification of cause of problem: For improving the quality of their TV, Cello
electronics needs to determine the root problems of the TV by communicating with their
workers.

forecasted to make their employees to deal with them in more effective and efficient way.
For example, launching a new product by Cello Electronics requires an efforts of
employees to give maximum contribution. For this, the manager need to restrict
employees not in indulge in any miscellaneous activities that cannot contribute single
effort towards achievement of organisation goals and objectives.
Project planning: In the second stage of PLC, the manager is required to frame an
effective plans and strategies after overviewing the available resources, cost and time. In
the context of Cello Electronics, the manager needs to make a suitable plan to motivate
their employees such as extra monetary payment for additional working hours so that
project activities could be continued without any interruptions.
Project execution: Under this stage, implementation of pre-determined plans and
strategies are done according to the guidance and direction provided by the management
of an organisation. In the context of Cello Electronics, implementation of training
programs to their staff along with additional payments or extra working hours so that the
given project can be executed in desired way.
Project closure: In this last stage, all the executed activities came to an end and
overview the actual results achieved by comparing with desired result. In the context of
Cello Electronics, the manager analyse the benefits received by company after launching
58 inches TV and ensure whether to continue to manufacture such products or should
stop due to unexpected loss.

Cello electronics can define their aims and objectives for introducing the TV.
Aim: Aim of project is “To launch a new 58 inches television in market”. Case study on
Cello electronics.
Objective: To increase the revenue of the firm by 20% in next 6 months.
Scope: The scope of this product is very wide in nature as it will fulfil the demand of
Urban people in UK as these people prefers high living standard. Cello electronics can gain more
profit and sales through this product.
Quality: Excellent quality of hardware and software is used in the production of the TV.
Thus the quality of the produced TV will also be excellent in terms of features and durability.

M3 Rationale for the project methodologies, tools and leadership
Secondary data sources are used for this project in order to collect the information. The
information was mainly collected using the internet, books and journals etc. Situational
leadership is taken in this project due to having complexities in structure and the managers also
not capable of telling every aspect to their workers so some power is also given to them. The
managers has provided tools such as software and electronic devices which can be used to
execute the project in effective manner.
TASK 4
P4 Review the effectiveness of the PLC using appropriate theories, concepts and models.
For the success of the newly launched TV in the market, Cello electronics must use
various tools and methods. There are various activities which are helpful in launching a new
product i.e. marketing, needs of consumers, innovative methods etc. The performance of the
product can increase through the use of Project Life cycle, WBS and Gantt Chart. Through these
techniques, managers of Cello electronics can better understand the process for launching the
new TV in the market. Also there are several other models which can define the effectiveness of
PLC in this project.
Waterfall Model: This model is used for big or large projects. This model is part of
Project Life Cycle in which the stages are interconnected with each other (Leach, 2014). The
output from one stage is the input for next stage so, for clearing other stage, previous stage needs
to be executed. This model is helpful for the managers of the Cello electronics for executing the
different stages of launching the new TV. The 6 stages of this model are discussed below: Requirement: It is the first stage in which various requirements and needs of the new
product is considered by the management of firm. The considered requirements are
understanding the design, functioning and purpose of products. The input and output for
final product are studied and marked. The Cello electronics can determine the
requirements such as design, functioning and purpose of the new TV through this stage.
These requirements are considered by the management when developing the product. Product Design: The output from first stage act as a input for this stage. After
determining the requirements, design of the product is finalised. The design process assist

The design process assist
the managers in determining the hardware and architecture of the product. All the
