School should rethink about cell phone
The mobile, cellphone or smartphone is not just used for chatting or snap short, but cell
phone can be a powerful participation tool in the classroom. Last month one of my family
members was seriously sick and was rushed to the hospital with heart attack. Everyone was
worried about his life and to me I had no idea of his sickness, I was very busy in biology class
dissecting frogs while one of my family members was about to die. My uncle tried to call the
school all morning to get in touch with me, but school phone was busy every time he tried. It has
to be accepted that cell phone is the major way parents communicate with their children and
school should rethink the ban of cell phone.
Discussion
Some people argue that allowing cell phone in school student can’t lean, there will
concentrate more on cell phone than their core business in school. Before we continue it worth
remembering that allowing cell phone doesn’t mean we change the way in which we teach, but it
is of importance to set limits and rules beforehand. Coming up with agreement clearly outline
consequences to be faced for misuse of cell phone in the classroom. I believe cell phones are of
importance for students and I would propose administrators should allow cell phone under
certain rules (Martín). Cell phone this day is carried by everyone and if schools ban them or not,
students will still bring them in school (Martín). For example Rameshkhan quoted that “Mobile

phone are considered to be most valuable one in today’s world and every category of people like
young adults, adults, women’s ,students and even old people are using cell phone”.
Some people argue that student will concentrate on chatting and Twitting during lesson
sessions. But u will agree with me that another way cell phone can boost participation in the
classroom is by allowing student to use text messages and twitting teachers to ask some
questions (Gikas).Therefore by teachers encouraging this mode of communication, it will be of
great advantage to timid student who are always shy to ask question direct to the teacher as well
to ensure that good question don’t go missed or forgotten. As against this I believe cell phone are
necessary to students, they should be off during class time and to be used at lunch and after
school. One reason many people will disagree with me is because of things like cheating on tests
and cell phone can be used to organize illegal activities such as fights or truancy. I know there is
good reason for the cell phone burn but, cheating, fighting and truancy have been going on
(Stockwell).
Conclusion
After the above analyzed and discussed ideas cell phone are becoming more and more
integrated into every facet of our daily lives (Harvey). And due to high and fast improvement of
phone technology its Cleary showing that teachers will continue to integrate them, in one minor
form or another into their lesson plans and teaching styles.
