MANAGEMENT 2
Introduction
Chief executive officer (CEO) plays a huge role in success of the company. The CEO is the
leader whom every employee look up as their leader (Vieira 2015). It will not be wrong to
say that chief executive officer has the power to influence the vision and the culture of the
company.
In this report, I have tried my best to analyze the major traits a chief executive officer should
have to manage the human resources to achieve organizational goals and objectives. The aim
of the report is to analyze the major functions and elements which are controlled by the
executive team. The various concerns which are being managed by CEO of the company are
analyzed in the report. In the report the strength and capabilities of the good chief executive
officer are analyzed.
In the case study, the Sims’s hardware is facing lot of issues which are the consequence of
inefficient CEO so the major approaches which a CEO will introduce in the company are
discussed in the report.

MANAGEMENT 3
Setting of goals and objectives
The goals of the organizations define the management culture and organizational vision. The
major aim of the management is to plan the objectives of the company which are based on the
vision of the company (Jansen 2019). The CEO‘s role is to facilitate the achievement of goals
by allocating the right resources considering the time value and organize the elements which
play crucial role in achieving the goals. In the current case study one of the major issues
discussed is lack of communication. The CEO’s aim is to communicate the goals and
objectives to the employees effectively.
Communication with stakeholders
To communicate the goals and objectives effectively; as a Chief executive officer, I would
create a framework which will help me in improving communication in the organization
(Guffey & Loewy 2010). As far as I focus and find the solution to the problem. It is really
important that the organizational structure should be planned properly to facilitate
communication in the company. The hierarchy in the organization leads to achievement of
proper management in the organization (Capaldi & Idowu 2017). To communicate with the
stakeholders the company should always focus on the language and tone in which they
communicate with the higher authorities and then the managers can communicate the goals to
all the employees.
I personally feel that soft skills play a huge role in communicating, guiding and motivating
the employees in the organization. As a CEO my aim is to make my employees comfortable
to speak their concerns then only I can improve the individual objectives and performance of
the organization. To facilitate learning and communication in the organization the company
should also implement training to boost E-mail writing and written communication among
the superiors and co-workers. This will help the managers to track the record of the goals. To
improve the communication of the employees I will also arrange informal sessions among
employees to improve communication.
Linking values with organization goals
The goals of the organization can only be achieved if the efforts are invested in right
direction. When the goals and objectives are linked to the basic key responsibilities of the
employees the employees work to achieve targets but will never improvise and put extra to
achieve strategic edge for the organization. As a CEO, my aim is to context the employees
with the vision of the organization. To feel valued and important in the organization the

employees should be involved in decision making of their goals and objectives. In the process
of setting goals if the employees are discussed and involved it can lead to achievement of
employee engagement and satisfaction towards working for the organization (Dignam &
Galanis 2016). For example: if the company is focused on sustainable resourcing, employees
should feel responsible and connected with the goals of organization and should research and
analyze before making any suppliers engagement. If the aim is to earn profit the employees
can never eel connected with the vision of the company. To achieve the linkages between
individual goals and vision of the company the organization has to involve employees which
deciding the goals of the organization.
Expectation of stakeholders
Stakeholders can be defined as the people who are directly affected by the operation of the
work as well as the power to influence the decision making process and operation of the
organization (Mathur et al. 2013). The major stakeholders include Customers, employees,
suppliers, government, and communities.
The stakeholders play key role in designing and achieving the targets of the company hence
the stakeholder intent should be considered while decision making. To meet the expectation of
the employees it is important that I understand their needs and expectations from the
management. It is important to provide a platform where the employees, suppliers, and
customers can voice out their concerns I feel that the company should organize employee
survey every quarter on major issues like flexibility in working, leaves including parental
leave, diversity policies, harassment policies and issues related to managers and co-workers.
And the supplier’s survey should also be arranged to understand the costing of manufacturing
and transporting. The company has to focus on the health and wellbeing of the employees
(Capaldi & Idowu 2017). The most important survey which leads to achievement of goal is
customer satisfaction survey. To conduct this research the customers who are using the
product are asked various questions relating to the features of the hardware product, and the
after-sale service by the company as this help in improving the product quality and customer
service of the company’s product. I think it is very important to take expectations of the
stakeholders concerns of great importance as the stakeholders have the huge control in
influencing the profits of the organization (Dignam & Galanis 2016).

Communication and investigation in major incidents
In case of any major incident like rise in prices of the resources or strike by salesperson. I
will stay strong focus on the reason for the occurrence of the issue. The process to deal with
any unexpected incident is to first analyze the reason and then suggest the measure to solve
the problem.
In case of any major incident the communication should be direct and clear as this can lead to
another major issue in the company. The communication plays a huge ole in solving any
problem in the organization.
To build and support the team the major pillar to focus is the communication with the
employees as through good communication the managers can feel connected and can reach to
the CEO for the guidance. The CEO role is to motivate the employees to achieve the
organizational role as well as feel engaged in the organization (Biesinger & Wall 2017). I
personally feel appreciation; rewarding and providing yearly incentives help the employees to
retain in the employees. With changing business environment the employee needs are
changing. And the employees who are millennial they believe in perks, as well as flexibility
in the working hours, can lead to retaining of the employees (Klettner 2017).
As a CEO I feel the employees should give autonomy to design the organization goals and
objectives which can lead to feel confident as the employees have the flexibility to innovate
and reform the process. The innovation and creativity are the demand of changing business
environment. The organization change is the demand of technolgy advancements. I would
implement innovative methods which can provide employeed speed to restructure the process
to achieve innovative products that will also prepare employees to develop an grow in
chanhing business requirements.
To make employees comfortable with the changing needs the management team should
focus on the training and development skills of the employees to achieve success it has
become so important that the employees training should be designed and customized
according to the needs of the employees (Croci 2018). I will introduce training as key
objective in the organization the employees should compulsory attend the session to achieve
good increment in their assessment year. The aim is to motivate the employees to outgrow
and achieve competitive edge, as the case suggests the lack of autonomy is one of the reasons
for current inefficient operation. My aim is to introduce the management which is informal
and flexible with strategic goals in mind. As the flexibiluty and innovation is part of changing

needs of business environment. In the phase of globalization i will develop skills of the
employees to deal with new technological advancements as well as challenges.
The CEO should never react as abruptly as this can lead to poor image in front of media as
well as the employees of the organization. To create a positive image in the media it is
important that the CEO should have public appearances, as well as the work, should also be
done for the welfare of the community. The community investment and work for the
indigenous people and minorities can lead to creation of positive and attractive image of the
CEO (Mallin 2018).
Personal and professional competence
The CEO has to be calm and realistic in nature as the organization can have various issues
which are related to sales or finances but CEO should be calm to get down the problem
observed. The most important competence which is possessed by me is vision. My vision is
to create organization which will save the environment by recycling and properly disposing
E-waste. To improve the communication and accountability of the employees the CEO
should have clear vision in achieving the goals of the organization (Cross 2016).
I feel the personal competencies include the attitude and behavior which makes a leader
reachable in the organization. As a CEO I think I have the empathy to understand what a
employees expect from the organization and this can lead to motivation of the employees and
redefining the vision of the employees for the organization.
In context of professional competency, I have experience in different functions of the
⁷organization. I have been handling my team from around 15 years and I have master’s
degree I finance as well as human resource which provide me in-depth understanding of how
to allocate and manage the scare resources.
Major Traits
The major traits which a CEO should have includes the following. Firstly as an CEO, I am
flexible with changing requirements demands of my role. I think an employee who can adapt
and ready to take risk can achieve any goal. The CEO major strengths involve decision
making which can help in achieving the internal as well as external groups involved in the
organization. The ability to empower the team can be defined and achieved in the
organization with the help of empathy. The capability to understand the employees issues
define the attitude of the chief executive officer.

The Vision can lead the management in right direction. I have vision to make organization as
market leader with high and good services which can lead to customer loyalty and brand. Eith
changing environmental norns and sustainability issues organizarion have to implement
chang management merhods (Daphne Halkias 2017). To deal with risk management the
employees participation in decision making can lead to reduction in risk management for the
welfare of the organization.
The major trait which a CEO should have to organize to achieve goals in time. This can also
lead to achieve the goals while cutting cost which leads to achievement of strategic advantage
in the market. I think the skill to understand and boost an employee is the major strength and
capability to execute this job. (Fazzolari 2014). To achieve the goals of the organization a
CEO should act as a leader. The leader is the person who fulfills the organization needs first
than any other priorities. The aim of the leader is to set an example which can lead to the
sustainable growth of the organization which includes welfare of the society as well as
environment (Seemiller 2018). As I discussed in the report the overall sustainability can be
achieved only if the employees are encouraged and motivated to work towards sustainability.
The ability to develop and embrace right leadership style and interpersonal styles make a
CEO a leader which leads to introduce innovative approaches to improve the work culture of
the company.
Conclusion
In this report, the major traits and elements of importance on CEO ‘s role are discussed and
analyzed. It can be concluded that the chief executive officer has to act as the person who act
as a leader in the organization. The major traits a CEO should have includes empathy and
power to influence the employees. The empathy to understand the employees to work
towards vision of the organization plays a crucial role in managing the objectives effectively
and efficiently.
