This portfolio provides justification for the development of academic and employability skills, referencing articles and models like Bridgstock (2019) on social media for career development, Datey (2018) on graduate employability using Gibbs' reflective model, and Heron (2019) on oracy skills in higher education. It emphasizes the importance of skills such as academic writing, public speaking, and time management, supported by research from Keevy (2020) on accounting skills and Khalid & Ahmad (2021) on career adaptability. The portfolio also includes an action plan, drawing from Shukla & Garg (2017) on factors affecting quality education, to improve skills through debates, group activities, and time management. It reflects on personal experiences and concludes with strategies for continuous improvement in academic and professional skills.

appropriate skills that are required for working effectively (Bridgstock, 2019).
Justification: this article supports the discussion about making career development and
employability through social media. As academic and employability skills could easily get
develop with the help of social media platforms which helps in effectively working and
achieving career objectives.

Gibbs reflective piece of model developed by Graham Gibbs in the year 1998(Datey, 2018). the
main purpose is to show every tiny fact about the experience which is vital in an
individual life.
Justification: This research paper present discussion about the concerns and considerations that
needs to be taken for graduate employees. Gibbs reflective model will help these
graduates to analyse their graduate experience and consider them while applying for
job roles. These experience involve employability skills and knowledge regarding
interpersonal behaviours.

I felt that the team members are required proper training of academic writing in order to
avoid miss-conduct (Heron, 2019). I also felt demotivated in terms of public speaking as it
require perfection and the aim to achieve public attention which is not easy.
Justification: this article shows the significance of oracy skills in order to develop
academic and employability skills. Orcay skills represent the ability to speak well. So that,
speaking skills is very necessary at workplace so, in order to feel confident and overcome with
the fear of public speaking and gain job opportunities, these skills will be helpful.

These skills are also necessary at professional level as many job roles required to make unique
content, logo and present their brand features in unique and professional way. So that,

Justification: This article helps in analysing professional accounting education system. It refers
to pervasive skills which consist accounting skills to represent brand image of the company. The
student needs to have these skills in order to perform professional activities.

This stage is an end of the Gibbs model in which what has concluded throughout personal

concentration and effectiveness to be able to complete work before time as it will reduce
pressure and stress.
Justification: employability skills and career adaptability are both interconnected. A
student needs to have all the employability skills to look forward for achieving career objective.
This articles supports the discussion about skills which are necessary for career adaptability
which includes problem solving, time management, critical thinking and many more. Therefore,
to reduce work pressure and manage time is a necessary act of employability abilities. It has
concluded by the personal experience to develop this skill.

The action which I would take to make my skills more improve are that, be indulge in debates
session, group activities to losses my stage fear and speak fluently. Also, I would

prepare time tables for activities to mange my time for others also (Shukla, and Garg,

Justification: This article supports the discussion on the factors which are necessary to provide
quality education. It is required to build good skills in students who are perusing higher
education. Therefore, it describes within an action plan to develop the skills in order to overcome
from self weakness and be a part of quality education training.
