Context for Assessment
To complete the assessments in this workbook, students need to have
access to their learning materials and the Internet. The Knowledge
Assessment and Case Study may be completed wholly at the student’s
home or chosen place of study. The tasks within the Assessor
Observation Form must be completed in a workplace.
Assessment Requirements
The assessment requirements specify the evidence and required
conditions for assessment.
Each unit of competency can be unbundled to reveal three (3) key
assessment components:
1. Performance Evidence
- describes the subtasks that make up the element of the unit
2. Knowledge Evidence
- describes the knowledge that must be applied to understanding
the tasks described in the elements
3. Assessment Condition
- describes the environment and conditions that assessments must
be conducted under

Assessment Methods
This workbook uses the following assessment methods:
1. Knowledge Assessment A set of generic and workplace
questions testing the student’s general knowledge and
understanding of the general theory behind the unit.
2. Case Study Detailed scenarios and simulated environments
providing all necessary information required to complete relevant
tasks and activities.

The questions in this workbook are divided into two (2)
categories:
o Knowledge Assessment
o Case study
The questions under Knowledge Assessment are all in a short
answer format. The longer questions requiring creative and
analytical thought processes are covered in the Practical
Assessment. You must answer all questions using your
own words. However, you may reference your learner guide
and other relevant resources and learning materials to
complete this assessment.
Some questions cover processes you would likely encounter in a
workplace. Ideally, you should be able to answer these
questions based on the processes that are currently in place in
your workplace. However, if you do not currently have access
to a workplace, then answer the questions based on processes
that should be implemented in a typical workplace setting.

1. The following are some of the cultural influences in Australia. Select
at least two (2) of these influences. Briefly explain in no more than

Australia. In case of the drivers Australian society the customs are

a) In case diversity practice will not be related to the behaviour of the
person then this will be affecting the experience to a great extent.

behaviour because the behaviour is bieng desinged by the culture
only and in case it will be good then it will improve the efficiency of
the business.
b) Further when the interpersonal relationships between the people
are not good then also the diversity practice affect the persons
experience negatively and they do not like the practices. diverse
culture affect the interpersonal relaitons as well because when
people belongs to two different culture then it can affect the
working efficiency of them and relation can be affected.
c) For the perception of the person is the thinking capability and in
case it will not be clear then the diversity practices will be
affected.the diverse culture affect the perception as well because of
the reason that different culture provides for different perception
and thinking can be changed.
d) For the social expectation of others also affect the diversity practice
because in case of person has expected that diversity will improve
the working efficiency and an actual it does not occur then it will
affecting the working of the person.

over the years with the influence of other cultures. In your own

a) Further another area of the culture where in the practices have
changed over the years because of the influence of other culture is
the gender roles. This is particularly because of the reason that
earlier there was prescribed thinking that enable doing this
particular work and female will do this particular work. But now in
the modern era many things have changed and the roles of the
gender have also been changed. For example earlier it was
assumes that female will be only the homemaker or the work which
is being done at the home like beauticians. But now in the present
error there are male beauticians and female drivers. With this it can
be stated that respect to the other cultures the general role have
been changed to a great extent.
b) The food habit is the one element or the practice which has been
changed an influenced by the other cultures. In the present
competitive environment there are many different cultures working
to gather and this affects the working of the people and their habits
as well. and because of this the food habit is the one which has
been most influenced by the other cultures as well. for example
earlier the food habit included the simple australian food only. but
after the entry of different types of the cultures in Australia the food
presentence of the person also changed. the coming of Chinese in
Australia increased the interest of people towards the chinese food.
