Effective communication play an important role in
coordinating and collaborating the work in all the
businesses so that the functions and operations can
run smoothly and the interests of all the
stakeholders can be maximised. It is important that
effective communication medium is used in a
business so that the employees can perform their
work in an efficient manner. This poster is
prepared so that the tension among passengers who
use London tube including local Londoners and the
tourists can be reduced by reducing the
communication barriers among them.
People have difference in perceptions regarding each
other based on difference in nations, cultures, religion
etc. This leads to increased tensions among the local
Londoners and tourists.
As the people using tube include people of London
and the tourists who belong to different religions,
nations, language etc. tensions among them get
created in the Tube as during summers the Tube get
crowded and due to the ineffective air conditioning
the atmosphere become hot which lead to tensions

There are different strategies that can be adopted by the
people at metro stations so that they can reduce the
cultural barriers:
Avoid slang: It is important that in order to
effectively communicate with each other the use of
clear and understandable statements is done so that
communication can become easier.
Remain aware of cultural differences: It is
important that the cultural differences are respected
so that communication can efficiently occur among
the people who take tube.
Open communication: It mean that face to face
and two sided interactions are encouraged so that
the communication can become easier and can help
in releasing the tensions among the people.

different cultures which can help in accepting and respecting

other without hesitating. This can help in improving the
tensions among people who travel by London tube which
include travellers and local people from London.
Acknowledging cultural differences can help in improving their
behaviour towards each other so that they can understand the
problems which are being faced due to the crowded tubes
where the air conditioning also does not work properly. This
can help in improving the effectiveness of communication
among them and also improving the attitude of people toward
