Report: Factor Analysis of Knowledge and Attitude to CFS

This report presents a factor analysis of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (CFS) using SPSS to determine the relationship between knowledge, perception, and attitude towards the condition. The study utilizes a quantitative survey design, employing a questionnaire to gather data from participants experiencing CFS. The analysis includes correlation matrices, KMO and Bartlett's tests, communalities, and total variance explained to assess the factor structure and reliability of the KACFSQ (a new measure of knowledge and attitudes to CFS). The results indicate that the null hypothesis is rejected, suggesting no significant difference in people's knowledge and perception of CFS. The report also interprets the communalities and rotated component matrix to evaluate the variables and their representation within the factors. The findings provide insights into how people's knowledge impacts their attitude or perception of CFS.

Abstract

how it affect people perception and behaviour. Also, for determining relationship SPSS method
has been used. Alongside, the results states that null hypothesis is rejected as there is no

Background (present intro)
Aim of study is to ascertain the factor structure and reliability of the KACFSQ, which is a new
measure of knowledge and attitudes to CFS.
Rationale for study
The main reason of project is to identify relationship between knowledge of CFS along with
their perception and attitude towards it. So, it will provide an insight on whether people
knowledge impact on their attitude or perception or not.
Method
Design – here, research design used is quantitative survey design where statistical data is
gathered and calculated to identify relationship between variables.
Material and procedure- the material used was questionnaire and procedure were use of
survey.
Participants- The participants were those who were suffering from chronic fatigue syndrome.
Here, quantitative analysis was to find out relationship between knowledge and attitude of
people. thus, factor analysis test was conducted for it.
