INTRODUCTION
Sociology is the study that is related to the human mind and society. It is very important
for every individual that they should understand the concept of sociology (Scasta, Hennig and
Beck, 2018). It is the study in which a person or group of person can understand the relationship
of human behaviour and society. There are many issues that occur in society such as elderly,
surveillance, etc. in the society that should be resolved by understanding them. In this essay it
covers the issues that faced by elder people in the modern world.
MAIN BODY
Sociology is the study of society and human behaviour. Whereas sociological
perspectives is the methodology is the application of humanistic and scientific approaches which
assist in understanding of human behaviour. It is necessary for a good society that they should
understand the human mind. There are many sociological perspectives are present in order to
understand the behaviour and nature of society and human. Sociological perspectives are
Interactionalism, Marxism, Collectivism, and Functionalism. These are important which assist in
better understanding of social issues (Moody and Sasser, 2020). Human are the part of society
and that's why it is important that they should understand the concept of sociological
methodology. Sociological methodology is very helpful in understanding that society is a
product that is temporary which can be changed by people if they are change because society
makes by people. It is analysed that it assists in making better lifestyle of every person that live
in the society. But one thing is that it is not easy to understand the behaviour of human beings
because every person has different kind of nature and perception. It is not easy to change their
perception.
In the society, there are number is issues are running out of them one important issues
that affect the society quality is elderly. That means the problem of ageing. It is analysed that
there are number of problems that faced by elder people in the society that should be solve so
that quality of society can be make better. It can be more understand with the help of using one
sociological perspectives i.e. conflict theory (Bone and et. al., 2017). According to conflict
theory, it is analysed that elder people face many problems in the society such as financial
insecurity, ageing population, etc. As per this theory, it stated that elder people are get more
struggle as compared to younger ones because of many issues such as they are not able to

perform their work as compared to younger people. It is identified that some people give a
complaints that elderly people get more share according to other. It becomes competitive
situations for every person. There are many challenges such as ageism (Czaja and et. al., 2018).
It is identified that elder person feel very isolated in the society because they have no person
available in the society who can give support to them. It is very necessary for society that they
should find the solution in order to involve elder people in the community so that they cannot
feel any isolation. It is important to resolve them because if this problem is not solved then it will
create many health issues such as dementia, insomnia, etc.
Other important issue is financial insecurity, due to their age they are not able to perform
any duty or work so that they can incur money. It become a major problem for them, in which
they can financial insecure. In today's competitive world, it is very necessary for every person
that they should earn money so that they can fulfil their basic needs and necessities. After the
retirement of elder people they becomes in the problems that how they can fulfil their basic
needs. They have not a capacity to do a duty or work. They have no source to earn money.
It is identified that they are facing problems for day to day activities because of their age.
Their age declines their power in order to perform daily task and their mobility. It becomes a
major issues as they cannot even perform their personal work (McNamara and et. al., 2018). No
one can help for elder people because they are not giving as much importance which they
deserved. It is necessary for them that they should take care about their health so that they are
ready for performing day to day activities. With the help of maintaining a healthy life they are
reducing the issues that are faced by them. It is very necessary for them that they should
understand the importance of health. It can be start when a person is young so that they can make
their future bright.
It is identified that when a person has no longer their independence, then the elder people
needs more care or additional care. It is not necessary that it can be provided by families always
because sometimes families are not providing care to elder people. Then it is very necessary for
elder people that they should get additional care from someone else. The person who cares for
elder people are caregivers (Włodarska-Frykowska, 2017). A good caregivers need a training,
emotional support and resources in order to care for elder people. For that purpose, they need to
take care about all services that they are rendered to older people. It is very necessary for them
that they just not focus on fulfil their basic needs such as health but also they provide a emotional

support because at that age they need a emotional support. It is very necessary for a society that
they should give a additional care to elder people.
CONCLUSION
From the above discussion it is concluded that elder people are facing many issues that
are mentioned above. It is very important for society that they should collaboratively perform
their duty in order to reduce the complexity of elder people. They should always accept them
because they are the part of society and one day every person can go through this age.

PROJECT PLAN
This is the project plan that is based on current issues that faced by elderly or elder
people. It can be better understand with the use of sociological perspectives. Project plan covers
some necessary points that are mentioned below:
 It is very important for an individual that project manager should firstly understand the
concept of sociology in the project. Sociology is the study of human behaviour. It is very
necessary for a good society that every person should understand the importance of
society.
 After that project manager should understand that sociological perspectives should be
understood so that it assists in better understanding of human behaviour.
 For that purpose, project manager used sociological perspectives in which they are using
conflict theory. Sociological perspectives assist in analysing the issues and understanding
of society in a better way.
 It is necessary that they should identify and analyse the contemporary issues such as
financial insecurity, difficulty in daily tasks, ageism, etc. in the project plan. It is
identifies that they should understand the issues so that they can make solutions in order
to reduce them.
 This project uses conflict approach so that they can analyse the importance of resolving
the issues of elder people.
