Some of the challenges and opportunities that are related to tourism
Travel and tourism is the most fast-growing sector that generates high income and growth in the
last few years. Canada is the second largest country in all over the world where a huge number of
people comes to visit every year. There are various challenges and opportunities that are faced by
the travel and tourism sector while providing the high-quality tourism services to tourists.
Opportunities: Tourism sector of Canada creates diversified employment opportunities in
different sectors such as travel agencies, transportation services, natural and cultural attraction
sites that improve income level as well as the living standard of local people.
Challenges: Travel and tourism sector face various challenges such as unequal treatment with
visitors, political instability, rigid corporate culture and seasonality that reduces the number of
visitors in Canada (Bhola-Paul, 2015).
Tourism contributes a large proportion in the generation of income towards the development of
the economy, GDP and national income. People like to travel to different tourist destination such
as Canada and Australia because of its they have great infrastructure and economic condition.

I have examined that Canada is a developed country that has unique sites, culture, infrastructure,
economic condition and beautiful landscapes that attracts a huge number of people. In today's
time, people like to spend their holiday with friends, family and peer group in the destinations
that attracts them the most. There are the different reasons for people to visit the Country such
as education, research, holiday, event and others. I have understood that there are different
factors because of which people want to visit the country some of them are mountains, natural
beauty, beaches, sea and climate. People of Canada are highly qualified and educated that makes
them to have higher understanding and knowledge of welcoming and treating the visitors which
make a positive image of the country in the visitors mind.
There are so many tourist locations in Canada which are famous and popular all over the world.
People come from different countries to see Niagara Falls, Old Quebec, Toronto’s CN tower,
Banff National Park and the Rocky Mountains, Whistler and others. These are some famous
tourist location among the people for which makes them to spend a high amount for the luxury
and peace (Joppe, 2012). Travel and tourism sector of Canada generate high income from the
travelling activities that helps to improve the economic condition of the country. I have learned
high level of knowledge and information about different tourist location in Canada that generate
high income by attracting a huge number of visitors. It is necessary for the travel and tourism
sector of Canada to give high attention to the factors such as natural beauty, environment and
culture that can influence a number of visitors in the country.
