includes all types of the processes that are implemented for preparing as well as supporting the
organizational change. There are ranges of methodologies that are applied to the resources, to
business processes and to budget allocation. Change in a project mainly refers to all the change
control process working on the project.

Change required in the project
Change that is required in the project
In Blue spider project, the main change that was required in project is managing the
requirement change in the project (Heckmann, Steger and Dowling 2016). For the proposal of

2CHANGE CONTROL MANAGEMENT
Blue Spider project, the proposal was submitted stating that it would work for that certain
temperature that was needed by the client and that was not true. The requirement for the project
changed and that would have been managed in project. The requirement change was to be
managed by the project manager. The project also needed communication change in the project
and project manager had the responsibility manage the communication change in the project
(Bresnen 2016). Communication change was needed in the project as because it Gary was not
able to communicate properly with Lord Industries and communication is an important part of
managing the project effectively. Communication project needs to be managed properly in the
project to have proper communication with the client and any change specified by the client can
be done with help of communication management in the project.
The project also needed to change the resource management in the project. As resource
was allocated to perform some other work in the project, there were no other resource available
to work on the project (Butt and Jamal 2017). The project was delayed for a month and there
were no resources those were allocated in the project to complete it successfully. Resource
management in a project include acquiring, managing as well as allocating all the resources in
the project. The resources includes individuals along with their skills, technology, finances that
the individuals include.
Impact of the change to scope, time, cost and quality
With the above stated changes that are to be included in project, the scope of project will
be affected along with time, cost as well as quality of project (Pheng 2018). The scope in the
blue spider project was already decided even if the constraints were not matching the
requirement of the client it was stated as project scope. All change in the requirement of project

would impact the project scope as that would add an extra adding scope in the project. The
project scope was to be managed with the changes that were included in the project.
With changes that were to be included in project, the project time to complete the project
could also be maintained. Gary with having no experience of handling the project was not able to
manage the time of project. The project was already being delayed for a week or so and there
were not resources to be involved in project to cope up the time of the project.
Gary has also implemented many extra cost in the project without informing Lord
Industries and that was due to miscommunication that was in the project, Gary was not able to
manage the communication in the project and did the testing process as he liked without
informing the client.
Quality of the Blue spider project was hampered from the beginning of the project itself.
When the proposal was given for approval, it scope of the project was just written to satisfy the
customer and get the contract (Heagney 2016). The requirement of the project was not followed
as because as per their testing, the product would not work under the specified temperature.
Tools and Techniques to manage the change
The tools that can be included to manage the change in Blue spider project are:
Flowcharts: These are process maps that helps to visualize all previous processes that are
included in the organization for the benefit of all the stakeholders included in project (Martinsuo
and Hoverfält 2018).
Stakeholder analysis: This tool helps to manage the stakeholder change in the project and
helps to categorize them on different factors.

4CHANGE CONTROL MANAGEMENT
The techniques that were to be used to manage the change are:
Manage the transition: The transition of the change is to be managed as because change is
being implemented in the project (Butt, Naaranoja and Savolainen 2016).
Communication establishment and include staffs in change: Proper communication is to
be established in the project and staffs are to be well communicated for the change that is being
included in the project.
Including stakeholders for change: All the stakeholder associated with the project are to
be included and informed while implementing a change in the project.

doing technical work in the lab and they felt that one of the main reason for the project not be
successful is miscommunication. Any updates on the project were not communicated with the
project client and they were done as project manager thought to do it. Communication would
have solved the project quality as client could have updates on the project and that would help to
complete the project successfully (Pheng 2018). There were not skilled resources in Perks. Gary
was only one of the resource who was good in technical part and he was made the project
manager. So Gary was not able to allocate any proper resource in the project and decided to do
the technical work himself. That also led difficult to manage the project and complete it
successfully.
2. The cost of the project would have been change implementing requirement
management in the project as because that would include extra work and extra equipment in the
project but the project would not fail. Proper resource management and proper communication
management in the project would not have included any extra cost in the project as because Gary
had the responsibility to manage those instead of doing the technical work himself.
3. As Perks Corporation was having deadline to complete the project within certain
period of time, Gary had the responsibility to manage the time for the project and cmpleting the
project within the time allocated to him (Harrington 2016). With the requirement management,
communication management and the resource management, the project manager could have
managed the spider project successfully.
Risk of implementing change
Resistance change to risk: The employees in the project might resist the change in
project. The project team main focuses on the primary things of fulfilling all strategic objectives

that are included in the project. A project team is made up with the stakeholders that includes
different departments and all the backgrounds in project. This also includes stakeholders for
addressing the impact on the project (Altwies and Preston 2016). The change management in
project helps to solve anxiety, provide resistance in the project and helps to clear the confusion in
the project. Change management are generally responsibility of project managers.
Scope Creep: Scope of project changes with scope creep and that might lead to project
risk in managing the project.
Loss of information: While communication, there might be information loss in the project
and that might be a risk while implementing change in project.
Change management in the Blue spider should be included in the change planning,
managing those changes that are being planned and reinforcing the changes in the project. The
changes mentioned in the above sections includes managing the initial requirements, and
communication changes in the project. This report state the changes those were to be
