The leadership is playing an essential role in the organisation, it is one of the vital processes
which enhances others to work willingly in the organisation. The leader not only helps in
enhancing the performance of an organisation but it also regulates the decision making power
which enhances the productivity of the firm and leads to accomplishing the target in an effective
manner. In the context of human and health services organisation, it is necessary to play the
essential role of leadership because the leader provides proper guidance and direction at the
workplace.
In my opinion, the changing leadership is one of the best techniques which enhances the
sustainability of the organisation by developing the vision and by generating strategies to
overcome the management conflicts in an effective manner. Besides this, the leadership develops
a suitable platform at working place which enhances employee performance at organisation and
enhances employee engagement at the workplace (Gleeson, 2016).
There are some questions in the context of change leadership, which are derived on the basis of
my learning and acknowledgement. From this, I have learned how a changing leadership
technique in management lead to creating a good impact on the performance of the organisation
by addressing and overcoming the problems in an effective manner.
1. Why is it important for you to develop skills as a change leader?
Ans. In my opinion, change leadership is not an easy task. As a leader, I have to develop
some essential skills which lead to the productive result in the context of the organisation. It
is important for me to develop leadership skills and to learn how a leader can control all
aspects of the organisation ineffective way (Gleeson, 2016). Some essential skills of leader I
have learned that leader should have are strategic thinking, changing management, effective
communication process, strategic planning and deliverables to the organisation and effective

management to handle all the risk factors (Blake, 2016). As a leader, I have to analyse all the
aspects of each department of the organisation because, at the management conflicts, it is the
duty of a leader to implement an effective strategy and has to overcome the conflicts in an
effective manner. It is essential to develop skills because the leader helps in enhancing the
sustainability power of the company. For a successful change in the organisation, leadership
has to play an effective role.
2. What skills do you see as most important for you personally as a leader? Explain.
Ans. There are some leadership skills which is foremost important for me to learn, which
help in playing a better role in the organisation:
Strategic thinking skills: As a leader, I have to develop my thinking skills, which
help me in handling all the aspects efficiently. Good strategic thinking must develop
by generating an idea which is based on the vision, and these skills help me in taking
effective decisions and in accomplishing the particular target in the organisation
(Gleeson, 2016).
Changing management and learning skills: As a leader, I have to develop my
learning skills through which I can analyse the current situation in the organisation
and may develop effective change management. Change management always requires
creative skills and communication process (Marques, 2015). The changing
management may be driven only when I will stick on one vision in the organisation.
Redesigning the process: As a leader, I have to analyse regularly about the current
processes and should redesign the process for developing innovation in the

organisation. This will help me develop my learning power and help in developing
strategic thinking (Blake, 2016).
3. What change management skills do you still need to develop? Explain
Ans. Some change management skills which I need to develop as a leader are:
To understand organisation uncertainties: I have to learn how to understand the
sudden uncertainties of the organisation through which I can develop some strategic
management approach which helps in controlling and managing such problems
(Marques, 2015).
Develop personal resilience and trust building power: As a leader, I have to
develop my attentive presence in the organisation through which I can guide and give
my proper support to employees which also help me developing effective
communication process and enhance trust-building relationships with employees.
This will definitely lead to a productive result in the organisation (Gleeson, 2016).
4. How will you address barriers and resistance to change?
Ans. There may be various barriers which can be present in the organisation. To analyse the
barriers, it is essential to develop an effective communication process within the
organisation. Then address the barriers by identifying the root cause behind barriers, then
develop effective change management approach and implement in the particular department
to resistance the change and analyse regulatory that resistance is minimized (Gleeson, 2016).
The chances of barriers can be reduced by developing a better organisational environment
and trusting employee oriented process.
