The importance of Stakeholder assessment is imperative to identify the end users of a novel
system at the initial stages of the change plan so that the degree of effect, the losses, as well
as the gains on the end users from adopting such a change, becomes visible to the
enterprise (Gray & Field, 2010). In the course of my employment as a Change Manager in
Northeast Calgary Women’s Clinic, the assessment of the stakeholders helped me gain
knowledge about their expectations, influences, resistances and support towards the change
which ultimately benefitted in strategizing, implementing and execution of the change plan
within the enterprise.
