TASK 1
Different approaches to manage the changes:
When changes are introduced in an organisation then certain theories and models must be
followed by the CEO of the restaurant to meet the required changes. These theories are as
follows-
Lewin's change management model: This change management model is introduced by
Kurt Lewin involving three steps that are unfreezing, changing and refreezing. This process
starts with creating the perception that a change is needed for improvement. Then next step of
changing involves moving towards the new. Then in the last step of refreezing new behaviour is
implemented in the organisation (Fünfgeld, 2015).
Nudge theory: As per this theory behavioural science, political theory and behavioural
economics are positively moulded and indirect suggestions are provided to influence behaviour
of employees to adopt the changes required.
TASK 2
Strategies that can be used to improve acceptance of the changes used by CEO are as
follows-
Communication the reason for change: A communication plan is developed for
effectively communicating the reasons why changes are required and what good these changes
will bring in future for business.
Make it about employees: Make each change related for benefits that it will provide to
employees and how it will help them (Leck and Roberts, 2015). This will help in adaptation of
changes.
TASK 3
Reasons for resistance to change are as as follows-
Loss of job security is one of the common reason for resistance to change as non
adaptation to changes effectively may eventually leads to loss of job.
Poor award system make employees resist to adopt changes as their efforts are not
appreciated.
