Why the change
As a social being, we are required to deal with people across various strata and build
relationships based on mutual benefit. We all have a family, friends, colleagues, employers,
relatives, and society to deal with everyday for the purpose called life. It is true that human
beings either behave in a way that helps him develop relationships with people or makes
relationships strained. We all have some or the other problems with our thinking, behavior, and
relationships pattern. It is almost uncommon to come across a person who is not averse to
criticism. I am not the exception either and many times I have faced criticism and complaints
from people which have necessitated self reflection more than ever. Let me analyze one by one
regarding the changes required in thinking, behavior and relationships.
Change in thinking
I have faced various criticisms on the way I think about people and concepts and many times this
has landed me in trouble by straining relationships with people. At times our thinking is based
only on our own perspectives and we neglect people’s idea and their way of thinking. I also go
through this thinking process despite my ardent attempt to avoid the thinking process and on
many occasions’ people on the other side gets hurt. The problem may either lie in what I think or
how I think that often ends up affecting our behavior and consequently our relationships with
people. At first I need to determine whether my thinking is a result of biased our prejudicial
thoughts. For this, I have to critically analyze each and every sphere of what I think and if I find
anything wrong with my thinking I need to take measures to change them for betterment. In case
I find that my thought process is not irrational and it is justified, I need to find ways so that
people do not get hurt by my thinking. In this modern world, every people has the freedom to

their thought process, but hurting people’s feelings and sentiments by our own thinking is not
acceptable by any means. I must either keep mum and not communicate my thoughts or find
ways to communicate in an acceptable way giving people an equal opportunity to defend their
way of thinking thus making it a constructive debate.
Change in behavior
The behavior is the next action that follows after the act of thinking and every human’s behavior
is mould by their thinking. Our behavior gives an idea to others of what we think and if our
behavior is a result of biased and irrational thinking, we end up hurting people and thus our
interpersonal relationships are affected. It also happens to me and more often ends up in an
embarrassing situation for me thus hurting my personal image. Every individual must maintain
the idea that people are essential to our life’s objectives and goals. We are not entitled to hurt
people’s feelings by our behavior that reflects our thinking process. We must behave respectfully
with every people if we want to convey something and persuade people or better it is to stay
away from controversial ways that changes our behavior.
Change in relationships
Every human being should attempt changes in relationships for further development and
betterment as relationships are crucial for our sustenance. Our thinking moulds our behavior and
behavior affects relationships. For better relationships, we need to start right from our thinking
process towards better relationships with people. If we manage to do that, we would end up
making many friends instead of rivals and enemies.
