Introduction
The report aims at focusing on creating and designing a charity event
for the purpose of fundraising. A fundraising or charity event is often
designed for raising money or awareness for the registered charity or
the nonprofit organization (Getz and Page 2016). The benefits of
fundraising event lies in raising the funds quickly within an event
environment which would otherwise take longer through online
means or via cold communications. The charity event designed or
planned for the is purpose would be an organized walk known as ‘Walk
a Mile in Their Shoes’ that would have the mission of bringing the
people together and making the world a healthier and happier place

The Purpose, Theme and Location
The purpose of this charity event is also committed in spreading
laughter and joy for the sick kids and the families.
The theme of ‘Walk a Mile in Their Shoes’ is less about the 10 minute
walk but more about having a memorable experience. There are two
rules that need to be followed the events which are as follows:
Wearing multicolored shirt at starting line
Finish the walk with a different colored
As far as the location is concerned the event would take place in
Australia (Sargeant and Jay 2014 ).

Vendors:
Vendors are like event professionals who aids in building long term
relationships with the vendors and remain passionate about supporting the
organization(Magrabi et al. 2015). These professionals will help in exceeding

line, greeting of the runners, enabling them in making a
way to event site, look after parking and checking in (Lee,

Packet Pick up Volunteer: Here the volunteers would be
helping runners for collection of the participation pack in
days of the event.
Unique Volunteer: They work for 30 to 40 minutes after
the last walker passes off and reopens the course for
public.
