There is the great importance of the manager to help any company to attain the heights of
success and there is a great need to understand the managerial roles by the manager of Charles
and Keith about to manage a company there is need of good management skills. There is need
for high management skills which could be well understood by Henry Mintzberg Model which
defines management skills are not the matter of teaching but can only be improved by realistic
experiences. Also, the Theory of Henry Mintzberg is planned in a way that would help the
managers of the company to enhance their management skills and learning the art of
organizing the work. Henry Mintzberg Model states the major ten types of management skills
that should be in the manger of Charles and Keith or any company to lead the business of the
company to success (Floyd, et al. 2017). The management skills in the manger of Charles and
Keith should be categorized in three sectors that are an interpersonal relationship, information
handling and decision making. The manager will bind the company and his skills to increase the
productivity through employees will benefit Charles and Keith in many ways. The manager
should have the skills of being a leader, a presenter and a resource allocator. The Charles and
Keith should use the Henry Mintzberg Model to identify that the manager of the company
contains the required management skills that will be advantageous for the company in stating
its desired goals. The management skills based on this model that the manager of Charles and
Keith must have consisted of Leaderships, negotiator, entrepreneur, figurehead, liaison,
representation, conflict handler, disseminator etc. (de Wind, et al. 2014). Charles and Keith can
also use models such as Quantum skills model, Skills operational model etc. All these models
help Charles and Keith to understand the need of management skills its manager should consist
of as these skills will help in effective working of the company, will help in maintaining
employee’s satisfaction which will ultimately result in more productivity and profitability for the
company and help Charles and Keith to achieve its aims and objectives.

Workforce planning is the approach that is used to align the requirements and priorities of the
company along with its workforce to make sure the needs of the company such as legislative,
production, service and regulatory needs and the goals of the company. To develop an effective
workforce there are several models that are used according to the demand of the company
such as soft HRM model, Hard HRM model, Fomburn model, Harvard model etc. Among several
models of HRM to develop effective workforce planning the most suited model that Charles and
Keith can adopt in order to achieve success in the competitive industry is Soft HRM Model. The
Soft HRM model states that the company should treat its workforce as the most valuable assets
of the company and a medium of competitive advantages (Armstrong and Taylor, 2014). The
soft HRM model will help the employees of Charles and Keith to understand their importance in
the company which will result in high motivation among them and more loyalty towards their
work and the company. When there is effective workforce in Charles and Keith the employees
will work towards the company goals as that of the company and will help the company to
attain success and fulfil its aims and objectives. To develop effective workforce the Human
Resource Department of Charles and Keith should play some major roles and responsibilities
such as:
Recruitment and Selection: The HR manager of Charles and Keith must recruit and hire
candidates who best suits for the vacant position in the company and have high team
spirit as an effective workforce is developed only when all the employees within the
team is capable enough to work in a team and ineffective manner. So for such
employees the selection process by HRM department of Charles and Keith should be
inappropriate way keeping in concern the needs of the company.
Training and Development: In order to develop an effective workforce there is need to
conduct timely training and development sessions that will keep on enhancing the skills
of employees of Charles and Keith which will result in effective and skilled workforce for
