AFFORDABLE CARE ACT 2010
The comprehensive Health care act and law was enacted in March 2010. The law was
established to and provides consumer with subsidies such as premium tax credits that lower their
costs for household with income between 100% and 400% of the federal poverty level. The act is
also known as ACA holding three major objective that are as follows:
To effectively Reform the private insurance market focusing upon individuals and small
group purchasers
To be able to expand medicaid and reach out to the working poor with income up to
133% of federal poverty level.
Last but not the least was the major thrust of the act towards families and to change the
ways the medical decisions are taken.
All the three objectives majorly were dependent upon private choices rather than
government regulations and are rooted towards expectations of making rational decisions shaved
bi incentives but unaffected due to other constants (Protection and Act, 2010).
It was clearly identified that the impact of affordable care act 2010 over the health care
system in the United States was profound and outstanding. The major impact of the Act was help
the act provided to millions of Americans as they their insurance coverage through it also
thousands of lives were saved because of the act along with it helped in strengthening the health
care system. The law actually proved to be life changing the people who were previously and
insured with low incomes and were having pre existing conditions amongst other groups.
