section of your Assessment Book upload the Assessment Book at
MyEstrada (http://my.estrada.edu.au).
You must submit the completed Assessment Book by the due date
noted in your Student Portal (http://my.estrada.edu.au).
Use the following as a checklist before submitting your Assessment Book:

What is grief?
1.1 Describe, in your own words, what each of the terms in the table

Grief Grief is a misrey and sadness cauesed by someones
death or loss of something. Here Grief describe the
loss which are developmental, circumstances and
socioeconomic and cultural contact of loss.

Bereavement is a condition of being deprived of
someones death or from some loss or from any bad
news.
Mourning Mourning is an expression of sadness of someones
death.In this it is used to explain the nature and
behaviour of individuals who participate in the
mourning of there relatives.
Types of loss
1.2 It is important to understand that clients may present with many
types of losses in counselling and many more may emerge as the
client’s history unfolds. Select which category of loss each of the
clients in the table below are facing.

1.7 Alfred tells his counsellor that he lost his wife Meg, who he had
been married to for 33 years, two months ago after a long illness.
He describes an intense wave of grief and loneliness every morning
when he realises his wife is not with him and often stays in bed for
hours, longing for her and thinking about their time together.
Alfred no longer reads or watches television, saying that he finds it
difficult to concentrate or focus on anything. Although his friends
keep popping in to check on him and invite him out, he pretends he
is not home most of the time, saying that he finds talking
exhausting and that being with them just reminds him that Meg is
not there anymore. Alfred describes finding it difficult to sleep and
he often stays up all night. He also describes how when he did go
out to do some shopping, he thought he saw Meg across the road
and rushed over to greet her, only to realise when he got there that
it was someone else.
Based upon the information given in the case study, complete the
