right to a nationality (to have a sense of belonging to a certain country).
All children should be given a name by their parents or guardians and it
should be lawfully recognized by the government. As an Early
Childhood Education and Care professional, I have learnt that before a
child is admitted in any public institution say in an elementary school,
he/she is required to provide full personal details bearing his name
through which he can easily be identified.
Standard 2: According to the Convention, every child has the right to live or stay
with his/her parent(s), unless it is appalling for them1. A child whose
parent(s) do not stay together has the right to live in contact with the
two of his parents, unless this could harm the child. Every child has the
right to relish the love of his/her parents by staying with them.
However, in extreme cases like hostility, the child needs to be detached
from the parent(s). During my tenure, we would occasionally visit every
child’s homes to see who they live with (their parents or guardians) and
if the need be, offer any necessary assistance to the kid
Standard 3: When adult people are making decisions that can one way or another
affect a child, the child has the right to express his opinions and say
what he thinks is supposed to take place and have their opinions
considered1. Their say should be respected by the decision-maker.
During my occupancy, we always paid attention to what the child wants
to happen especially when the decisions being made are affecting them
or revolve around them. In so doing, we made them feel appreciated,

loved and respected. Their opinions matter a lot and they also have wits
to make good decisions concerning their lives.
2. Discuss the importance of having a National Quality Framework for childcare and early
learning centres, and some of the benefits of having a uniform standard across Australia (50
words)
The NQF is a system for regulation and assessment of centres meant to provide
Australian families with top-notch, affordable, and accessible comprehensive early
childhood education and child care. Having a National Quality Framework for
childcare moulds children future and lays a strong foundation for their learning and
development. Having a uniform standard across Australia facilitates everyday life and
they can be used to rationalize all operations across the country. Standardization
ascertains that all children-oriented services are appropriate for their intended
purpose2.
3. Write about how your work experience workplace adhered to the National Physical Activity
Guidelines for Australians. Document a physically active session plan that you used that
meets the National Requirements. Outline what activities the children participated in and for
how long each activity ran for in total (100 words)
In my work experience workplace we adhered to the National Physical Activity
Guidelines for Australians in different ways such as encouraging children to walk or
cycle instead of riding in cars. We generally encouraged them to take part in activities
which would keep them active every day in as many ways as they could.

4. Select one of the Quality Standards, and relate it to the organizational policies, procedures or
standards from your work experience workplace. Discuss how the procedure reflects that
quality standard. (100 words)
One of the Quality Standards is children’s health and safety2. Every child has the right
to experience high quality education and healthcare in a setting which promotes and
safeguards their wellbeing, health, and safety. This standard is in line with one of the
organizational policies in my previous place of work which required all children to be
provided with quality learning environments. The policy also required proper

healthcare for every child. This policy reflected the significance of quality in the
overall child’s life. Children deserve the best in terms of education, health, and
upbringing. Every adult dealing with children should provide them with a very
conducive environment to thrive in. In regards to the procedures of my previous place
of work, every child has the right to receive standardized care and education in a
learning environment which offers them protection through emergency preparedness,
safe environments and experiences, and through proper supervision. This organization
is devoted to ascertaining that children’s safety and wellbeing requirements are
completely fulfilled. This includes putting into practice effective hygiene and safety
requirements, fulfilling their individual comfort and wellness needs, and efficiently
managing sicknesses and injuries. In order to ensure secure and efficient management
and care, enrolment, and education of children who may be victims of any illness, the
organization trains all stakeholders and educates them on risk minimisation, and
collaborative actions. According to the Quality Standard, every child has the right to
play, learn and be taken care of in a secure and harm-free environment and as such, I
noted that all professionals in my place of work were devoted to protection of
intellectual, emotional, and physical wellbeing of all children. In this organization,
there is comprehensive planning procedure tailored to ascertain wellbeing, health, and
safety of all children. They also provide the parents and guardians of these children
with the requirements of this Quality Standard to aid them determine whether or not to
permit their children to take part in certain events or not. Professions in this firm take
it as their responsibility to give information to families to encourage and create
awareness on the importance of ensuring children’s safety and wellbeing. Besides, in
order to lessen transmission of diseases, this organization has some standards and
