1. Importance of following terms that support children’s play and learning
National Quality standards (NQF): It is a benchmark for the quality of Early Childhood
Education and Care in Australia whose main focus is on safety, health and wellbeing of a child.
Also, its main focus is on to attain the outcomes of a children by high quality educational
programs. Moreover, with the help of this standard, families are also understanding of what
differentiate about a quality service (Bidwell and et.al., 2020). Therefore, this document also
assist to determine different quality area related to children so that parents can make decision
accordingly. Through this, children will also understand about their key areas that need to be
overcome.
Education and Care services National Regulations 2011: It provides laws foundation for NQF
and provide the services that is related to children improvement. Here, regulations 77 to 89 are
specifically prescribe in order to ensure about health, safety and wellbeing of a children so that
children can be educated (Protopsaltis and Baum, 2019). Along with this, all the education centre
are also liable to provide effective health and hygiene practices so that children can be easily
manage within their education environment.
Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF): It is a national framework which is make in order to
ensure about the quality and consistency in delivery of early childhood education programs.
Along with thus, it also cover children from birth to five years child in order to support their
transition to formal schooling. Therefore, it can be stated that it provides the set of standards,
practices in order to guide early childhood workers with respect to education so that they can
improve the child learning (Adam, Barratt-Pugh and Haig, 2019). It also assist to the families in
term of providing greater individual care and attention for a children so that they provide better
support to the children’s learning. Therefore, it also provide a good rating system of education
and care services in order to improve the results.
United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child: It is a part of legally binding
international instruments for a guarantee that protect human rights. Thus, it protect the right of
all children in a world and that is why, education centres are provided effective services to their
students. Further, the aim of this framework is to recognize the rights of children so that they can
ensure about the growth and equality in the workplace (Tobin, 2019). In addition to this, it can

be stated that with the help of this framework, students can learn from their school and that is
why, educator do not discriminate them on any basis.

helps to make the child learn different things. Also, it can be stated that through this practices
individual can create support to the students and also build prior learning and create a
meaningful relationship as well (Santos, Figueiredo and Vieira, 2019). This assist to generate a
better outcome and the approaches includes child-centred, injury based learning, responsive
relationship and this in turn assist to create better outcome for the company. Hence, it can be
stated that with the help of such pedagogical practices, individual can build and nurturing the
relationship so that effective outcome can be generated.
Further, it can be stated that through effective pedagogical practices, educators provide
documentation and narration so that effective outcome can be generated. However, there are
some areas that need to clearly identified because it might affect the performance of the students

Role of play
Role play enables the learners to experience their realistic examples of practices and behavior
that assist to be successful and desired role. Parents should also focused their children to play
because it also assist to improve their learning skills such that play allow children to use their
creativity in order to develop imagination as well as physical strength. Also, play assist to
increase the brain development and this in turn help to get a children engage at their early age
so that they can interact with the world around them. That is why, parents should also allow
their children to play so that it assist to involve with other children and improve their brain
activity (Danniels and Pyle, 2018). Like, constructive play assist to children to work on large
as well as small muscle skills whereas expressive play help children to express the feeling as
well as emotions effectively.
Thus, it can be stated that with the help of play, children can develop new abilities which in
turn assist to lead to enhanced confidence so that they can manage the future challenge
effectively. Not only this, play also helps in academic environment because it ensure the
school settings attend to a social and emotional development of children where cognitive
development also increases. Play and unscheduled time also allow for peer interactions so that
it assist to create social-emotional learning. Therefore, it can be stated that play always assist
to improve the child learning in order to generate a better outcome.
Presenting the three play theories
Piaget: The theory is suggested by Jean Piaget who determine how the children grow and
develop by using four different stage. Like, at the age of 0 to 2 years, teacher should share the
experience by using their five senses and this in turn helps to improve the learning. On the other
side, at the age of 2 to 7 years children, teacher should implement problem solving skills because
they think about the things which is not presented in front of them (Bubikova-Moan, Næss
Hjetland and Wollscheid, 2019). Third is, 7 to 11 years in which children become more
empathetic and teacher should not use physical representation. Under formal Operational stage

(12+ age), older children talk about abstract ideas and teacher can suggest ideas in order to work
independently.
Vygotsky: This theory of play disagreed with Piaget’s four stage and instead of four stage,
they suggest children should learn continuously and independently for different stage because it
is linked with four elementary mental function like attention, sensation, perception and memory
(Miller, 2018). Thus, teacher should provide different ways that helps them to interact with
others and improve their mental interactions as well. Like, imaginary play that assist to improve
children’s cognitive social development so that they can perform the work.
Froebel: It is used for early years whose main focus is on child-led play and also suggest
that play is the highest form of human expression in childhood and that is why, practitioners
should choose this by applying effective play in order to improve their learning (Fleer, 2021).
4.1 Reflective practice
It is all about thinking own experience and put on efforts in order to learn and improve
the same. This is a cycle or ongoing learning which occur at the time of early childhood
professionals in order to take time and stop so that they can incorporate new understanding in
order to learn as well as develop the things (Ruffinelli, de la Hoz and Álvarez, 2020). Moreover,
it can be stated that it assist teacher to become more aware about the underlying beliefs as well as
assumptions with regard to learning and teaching. Therefore, it assists to promote the learning
environment within a school that also allow teachers to deliberately develop effective technique
in order to improve their learning so that they set a healthy competition.

Closely adult supervision: It is the best method that provide a children to learn in a safe
environment because they always suggest good to their children and as a result, they will start
learning good from the unfortunate incidents. Like, ask them to draw a picture of safe road
practices in order to create awareness.
Hygiene: With the help of clean schedule, the chances of infection within a classroom
will be reduced and this in turn assist to make them learn through the learning environment.
Also, it can be stated that if the floor is wet, then call housekeeping staff in order to minimize the
risk of fell (Wimalawansa, 2020).
Complying with the laws and regulation in classroom: With the help of complying the
laws and regulation, teacher provide an effective learning environment, where students are not
going to be face any risk and this assist to create a better learning environment as well. Further, it
will help to maintain a safe as well as healthy working environment.
Critically analyse the policies and procedure
Education and Care services National Law act: With the help of this law, teacher can
provide care services to their students and if any institution do not follow the same, then they
have to fill the fine and this in turn affected their brand reputation in a market as well. Therefore,
it can be stated that if any students face issue in education, then it does not create a good
impression for the country in front of others.
The Australian government also develop policy with regard to ensure about the health
and safety of children at the services so that they keep promote their learning and development in
order to make sure that the learning environment is appropriate. However, on the critically note,
it has been identified that if a teacher do not comply with effective laws then it create a negative
outcome upon their teaching style.
The policy related to supporting the rights of all children in order to feel safe at the
learning place and this in turn assist to create a better outcome. Providing a safe environment

assist to groom child and improve their learning as well. However, on critically note, it can be
stated that if any mis-happening occur at the workplace, then it affected the brand image of an
institution.
