maintaining his behaviour
Bai’s behavior can be described as attention deficit hyperactivity disorder associated with lack of
compassion and kindness. His behavior will be constantly monitored so as to analyze the various
trigger factors like peer induced attention, certain colors and certain shapes of toy which draws his
attention. Bai’s aggressive behavior is prominent while he bangs the other child’s toy and smiles at
the same time. It is important to be observed as to how this behavior starts and how it ends at
last.
b) explain how you might respond to this and other similar incidents in a timely and appropriate
manner

You are working in a 60-place long day care service in the suburbs of a major city.
The children and families at your service come from a wide range of cultural
backgrounds – there are at least nine different cultural groups represented at the
service. You are part of a policy review sub-committee that is currently reviewing the
service’s behaviour guidance policy. As part of the review process, the director has
asked you to seek the feedback of families on their views about discipline and beliefs
about behaviour.
Complete the following tasks:
a) Outline the steps you would take to seek family input about their views and
beliefs about discipline and expectations for children’s behaviour.
A multi-language questionnaire filling followed by a semi structured qualitative interview with each
family.
b) Briefly, describe how you would accommodate these different views in the
service’s behaviour policy.
I would look into two aspects of the findings – opinions those are totally overlapping will be
